Rock the Dome Comes to the Fleet Science Center

ROCK THE DOME is an interactive digital concert featuring some of the greatest bands of all time. A mix of classic rock selections from the late 60's through the early 90's, it's much more than a soundtrack, featuring interludes and vignettes of the sights and sounds that symbolized the evolution of rock history. Pulsating graphics fill the screen while the Dome's state-of-the-art sound system play your favorites like you've never heard them before.
San Diego Gay Men’s Chorus Opens with Olé! Olé! Olé! 4/14-15

The San Diego Gay Men's Chorus (SDGMC) will present Ole! Ole! Ole!, kicking off the chorus' 2012 season on Saturday, April 14th at 8pm and Sunday, April 15th at 3pm at the historic Balboa Theatre in downtown San Diego. Following sold-out performances by gay men's choruses in Seattle, Houston and Minneapolis, the San Diego chorus production features show-stopping pop hits, classic cultural flair, and of course dance moves all set to a live eight-piece orchestra.

Orchestra Nova brings the Poway Center for the Performing Arts Foundation's 2011/2012 Professional Performance Season to a close with A Taste of Spain on Friday, March 23. The evening will begin in the lobby where concert-goers will be immersed in an emotional, intellectual and theatrical 'Nova Experience' bringing the essence of Spain -- dance, cuisine, culture, music and more to the Center. Music from Bizet, Tchaikovsky, de Falla, and Albeniz, among others, will be performed by Orchestra Nova's 35 talented musicians. An array of special guest artists including: Victoria Mature, soprano; Gregorio Gonzalez, baritone; Olé Flamenco (Marysol Fuentes, flamenco singer; Erika Lopez, flamenco dance and Juan Moro, flamenco guitar) and Fred Benedetti, classical guitar will further bring Spain to life.

San Diego REPertory Theatre (San Diego REP) announces its 37th season that opens with a significant work of Latino drama and continues with six more provocative and eye-opening new American productions. "Our curiosity about the changing world we live in provokes us to look hard and deep for those plays that take us to places we have never been and look at the world through eyes that are not are own," says Sam Woodhouse, co-founder and artistic director, San Diego REP. The search for the productions to be presented during the 2012-2013 season resulted in a collection of seven theatrical events that are about the quest of Americans to become their best selves, individually and together.

The Old Globe just began performances for Anna Christie, Eugene O'Neill's masterpiece about the knotty relationship between an old sailor and his estranged daughter. The production is directed by Daniel Goldstein, who is currently represented on Broadway with the hit revival of Godspell. Anna Christie will run through April 15, 2012 in the Sheryl and Harvey White Theatre, part of the Globe's Conrad Prebys Theatre Center. Preview performances run through March 14.
