The Sandra Feinstein-Gamm Theatre (The Gamm) stages the Rhode Island premiere of The Big Meal, American playwright Dan LeFranc's award-winning play in which generations of a modern-day family whiz by from birth to that inevitable last course. Tyler Dobrowsky,Associate Artistic Director at Trinity Rep, makes his Gamm debut directing eight actors portraying 26 characters over five generations in quick time shifts and overlapping dialogue typical of a family dinner.

Trinity Rep kicks off the new year with the Rhode Island premiere of Intimate Apparel, by Pulitzer Prize-winner Lynn Nottage, sponsored by Brown University with supporting sponsor Ruth's Lingerie. Directed by Trinity Rep company member Janice Duclos, the show begins previews on January 30 in the Dowling Theater and continues through March 2, 2014.

Trinity Repertory Company's Fred Sullivan, Jr., who recently won rave reviews for his portrayal as Scrooge in Trinity Rep's holiday production of A Christmas Carol, will be starring as Max Prince in Ocean State Theatre Company's upcoming production of Neil Simon's Laughter on the 23rd Floor. This semi-autobiographical comedy focuses on the hilarities that take place in the writer's room of a weekly comedy-variety show circa 1953, and the show's star, a Sid Caesar-like, Max Prince.
Enrollment Now Open for Trinity Rep's 2014 Young Actors Summer Institute

Trinity Rep is now accepting registration for the Young Actors Summer Institute (YASI), one of the most comprehensive summer arts enrichment programs of its kind in New England. The four-week Young Actors Summer Institute (YASI) has been specifically designed for grades 5-12 and YASI Jr., a weeklong mini-program for elementary school students entering grades 1-4. YASI runs July 1 through August 2, 2014 and YASI Jr. runs August 11 through August 15, 2014. To register for any of the programs, visit www.trinityrep.com. Registrations received by January 17 are eligible for an early bird discount of $100 off regular class tuition. These programs will fill up quickly, and interested students are encouraged to apply today.

WICKED Announces Lottery Policy for Providence Performing Arts Center Run

A day-of-performance lottery for a limited number of orchestra seats will be held for WICKED, which flies back to the Providence Performing Arts Center (PPAC) just in time for the holiday season: December 26 through January 12. Two and one-half hours prior to each performance, people who present themselves at the PPAC Box Office (220 Weybosset Street in downtown Providence) will have their names placed in a lottery drum; thirty minutes later, names will be drawn for a limited number of orchestra seats at $25 each, cash only. This lottery is available only in-person at the box office, with a limit of two tickets per person. Lottery participants must have a valid photo ID when submitting their entry form and, if chosen, when purchasing tickets.

Tickets are $39 - $49 and can be purchased at www.thevetsri.com, (401) 421-ARTS (2787) or the PPAC/The VETS Box Office. The PPAC/VETS Box Office is located at 220 Weybosset St, Providence. Box Office Hours are Monday - Friday from 10A-5P; Saturday 10A-2P. The VETS is located at One Avenue of the Arts. The VETS Box Office is only open on show days.
