Fresh Beat Band Comes to PPAC Tonight

The Fresh Beat Band, Nickelodeon's preschool music group and stars of the Emmy Award-winning TV series of the same name, head back on the road for a brand-new nationwide concert tour. Morality Play, adapted for the stage by Tony Estrella from the best-selling novel by Booker-Prize winner Barry Unsworth, is historical fiction in the form of a Plague-time whodunit, with intrigue, suspense and fascinating insights on the evolution of story telling. Tyler Dobrowsky, Associate Artistic Director at Trinity Rep, directs a cast of Gamm veterans and newcomers portraying travelling actors, clergy, royalty and townspeople intertwined in a medieval murder mystery.

The Brown University/Trinity Repertory MFA Program is thrilled to present Brown alum Sarah Ruhl's Tony Award-nominated play. In the Next Room, or The Vibrator Play, directed by Flordelino Lagundino ('15), which opens December 4th. The play explores the way late-nineteenth century society viewed sexuality, femininity and technology. In the Next Room will run from December 4-13 at the Pell Chafee Performance Center, 87 Empire Street, Providence, RI. General admission is $12 with a discounted price of $6 for students and seniors. At the same time, they remain shrouded in secrecy, their true lives unknown or unrevealed. This can be said of the famous figure at the center of Wilbury Group's second play fo the season, A Public Readng of an Unproduced Screenplay About the Death of Walt Disney. You may think you know something about the man behind the mouse, as he's sometimes referred. On the other hand, this play sets out to offer a different view, one that's decidedly darker.
