Places in 10 is a night of 10-minute plays developed through Script Club’s weekly table read series. Writers in the Script Club community have developed these one-act plays over three months and after a community vote, selections have been announced.

Title: I Hate the Dedham Mall

By: Andre Wells 

Premise: Erin is going to have a pleasant conversation with a stranger, by any means necessary.  

 

Title: The Box

By: Jan Aguilos 

Premise: Brandon plans to throw away the belongings of an ex-boyfriend.

 

Title: Heart in a Blender

By: Jan Aguilos 

Premise: A blender meets a banana and their emotions are mixed.

 

Title: De-Escalation

By: Jason Schuster

Premise: After dealing with a violent patient, a new employee and his jaded colleague discuss how to move forward.

 

Title: Salad Days

By: Kylee Greenleaf 

Premise: Four childhood friends return to their hometown to open time capsules following the death of their childhood friend.

 

Title: A Test of Taste

By: Kendra Jones

Premise: A group of New Yorkers (hired off a Craigslist ad) are taste testing products together in the Manhattan office space of an AI company working to predict tasting palettes. Each day is different and unexpected.

Jackie Jorgenson
Blender
With comedy and classical training, Jackie Jorgenson’s characters range from the headstrong woman of principle to the anxious, excitable girl next door. Her short film performances have been screened at festivals internationally and have won her five acting awards.
Tap Rudra
Banana
Tap Rudra is a former software worker who is now in the world of film and theater, as well as improv and sketch, in New York City. Before his recent move to NYC, he appeared on stage in Texas in dramatic and comedic roles. Tap supplements his creativity playing guitar and drums.
Gracie Connell

Gracie Connell is an actor, voiceover artist, writer, Basset Hound Enthusiast, and overall funny-girl based out of New York City.
Kellie Williams
Jackie
Kellie Williams is a singer and actor with a passion for comedy and musical theater. She likes to bring a grounded presence to all of her characters, whether they are a teenaged competitive dancer or a warm and welcoming mother.

Hazelnutxxx
Shantal Morris, known by her stage name Hazelnutxxx, is an adult entertainer and fetish model.

A graduate of the American Musical & Dramatic Academy, Caleb has found his footing in television work (The Gilded Age, Dopesick, Marvelous Mrs. Maisel) and sketch/standup comedy in NYC.

Originally from Taiwan, Kevin is deeply interested in telling stories that highlight human connections and explore how people grope their way toward a sense of equanimity in face of unexpected life events.
Sami Binder

Sami has loved performing and creating theatre their whole life. They started with community theatre as a child, then attended Professional Performing Arts School as a Drama major, and received a Theatre degree in college. They especially love to work on new plays and with LGBTQ+ collaborators.
Caleb Alexander
Alex/Brian
Caleb Alexander is a Brooklyn-based actor with training from T. Schreiber Studio, Brooklyn Comedy Collective, and Upright Citizens Brigade. In addition to performing, Caleb organizes a short film troupe called Short Cuts NYC, which aims to democratise and lower the barrier of entry for filmmaking in New York City and has facilitated the production and free screening of over 200 short films.

With The Barrow Group training method, Her journey in theater started in Boston, acting in various community theater plays. With the Barrow Group training Method, she has honed her craft further and since has worked in a student films, plays, table reads, and improv.
