The Gallery Theater announces upcoming events and rehearsals for March, 2009 AACT OREGON ONE ACT FESTIVAL 13,14,15, March at the theater. Information is posted on our website which, by the way, is getting better and better. Have you checked it out lately? We have 6 one act plays being performed, some wonderful workshops for actors, directors and writers and people who love community theater. In addition, there are a number of social events...three receptions and the Awards Brunch on Sunday beginning at 10:30 on the Main Stage of the theater.

What's in a name? Well next week the right name means a great deal at Portland Center Stage. March 10th through March 15th, 2009 has officially become 'Charlie Week' at Portland Center Stage. What does that mean? Anyone with the name Charlie (or Charles or Chuck) can get as many tickets as they like to one of that week's performances of How to Disappear Completely and Never Be Found for just $25 each.

Three weeks ago, Fuse sent out a request for solicitations from artists of all stripes interested in particpating in a collaborative adventure called:Fuse-For-All. Two weeks ago, five companies received a short play written by Fuse Ensemble member and award winning playwright Francesca Sanders. The play was based on ideas and topics provided by each company. In less than one week they will perform their version of this brand new play at Fuse-For-All - a one night only performance and fundraiser for Fuse Theatre Ensemble

Oregon Shakespeare Festival Announces 2009 Season

The Tony Award-winning Oregon Shakespeare Festival opens its 74th year the weekend of February 20-22 and celebrates the 50th anniversary of the Elizabethan Stage. In honor of that milestone, OSF is dedicating the 2009 season to principal theatre and scenic designer, Richard L. Hay, acknowledging his creative work that spans more than 50 years at OSF and includes the design of all three theatre spaces, beginning with the current Elizabethan Stage in 1959, half a century ago.

Imago Theater Presents Three Plays To Open 2009 Season

To open 2009, Imago Theatre presents three plays that reveal the company's range. APIS, or The Taste of Honey, is a play without words in which Artistic Co-Director Jerry Mouawad fuses a military prison with the world of the honey bee. In ZooZoo, the company brings frogs, rabbits, penguins, hippos and other creatures in a show promising the best of Imago's family mask theatre. To end the season, Artistic Co-Director Carol Triffle premieres her newest work of eccentric souls in Simple People.
Lakewood Theater Continues Its 56th Anniversary Season

Lakewood Theatre Company will celebrate its 56th anniversary season. Season tickets for the 2009 season are on sale now and prices range from $140.00 - $150.00. Performances are Thursday -Saturday at 8:00 PM, Sundays at 7:00 PM and some Sunday matinees at 2:00 PM. Season tickets can be purchased at the LTC Box Office at 368 S. State Street in Lake Oswego. Box Office hours are 9-5 weekdays and 10-4 on Saturdays. Call 503-635-3901 to charge your order by phone. Tickets may also be purchased on line beginning April 15th at http://www.lakewood-center.org
