On May 2, High Schools from around the state competed in the first-ever ASU Gammage High School Musical Theater Awards performing numbers from their spring musicals on the ASU Gammage stage. In addition, a panel of judges selected winners in the following categories: Best Overall Performance, Best Lead Male, Best Lead Female, Outstanding Supporting Performance, Best Dancer, Honorable Mention, Outstanding Technical Achievement. Two graduating seniors who exemplify leadership on the stage, in their community and in their schools also won $500 scholarships to use towards furthering their education.
