The Dueling Divas and friends are back, skewering the most beloved Broadway musicals in their version of THE MUSICAL OF MUSICALS, THE MUSICAL, with music by Eric Rockwell; lyrics by Joanna Bogart.
Are you ready to get corny? Want to get lost in the Woods? Want to visit the Speakeasy? Join us on April 21 and 22 at 8PM in SALT's West Chester space at 19 Hagerty Blvd, where your favorite classic musicals will be mercilessly mocked and musically mangled. We'll be disrespecting Sondheim, Rodgers and Hammerstein, Andrew Lloyd Webber, Kander and Ebb, and Jerry Herman as one story is subjected to each style. This comic valentine to musical theatre was the longest-running show in the York Theatre Company's 35-year history before moving off-Broadway.
The Dueling Divas are Alicia Huppman, Renee Schulz, and Melissa McVaugh. This trio of divas has been producing cabarets and events together for several years, and as Double D Productions, are pleased to present their first full length musical, showcasing the full range of their riduculous fabulousness.
Featuring Alicia Huppman, Renee Schulz, Greg Kasander, Stephen Schulz, with music direction and narration by Melissa McVaugh, this show will make musical lovers weep with laughter (or disappointment). No tomatoes will be permitted within the building, but feel free to boo the villain, cheer on the ingenue and good guy, nod knowingly at the wise woman, and figure out which show we're mocking.
