Based on the New York Times Best Selling book from Ethan Brown, SHOWTIME's new five-part true crime docu-series MURDER IN THE BAYOU, from director Matthew Galkin, (Kevorkian) investigates the unsolved murders of eight women whose bodies were discovered in and around the town of Jennings in Jefferson Davis Parish, Louisiana. The season premiere on Friday, September 13 at 9 PM ET/PT looks into the first murders between 2005 and 2007 when the bodies of four young women are found in drainage canals and on desolate back roads.

SHOWTIME Documentary Films will premiere DAVID BOWIE FINDING FAME from director Francis Whately (Rock 'n' Roll Guns for Hire: The Story of the Sidemen, DAVID BOWIE: FIVE YEARS) tonight, Friday, August 9 at 9 p.m ET/PT. The film chronicles five years of Bowie's early career, from the late 1960s through the on-stage death of Ziggy Stardust in 1973.  As one of the most revered musical artists of his generation, little has been unveiled about Bowie's life before his commercial breakthrough or the creative ideas and techniques he pioneered that led to his stardom. Bowie's nascent artistic curiosity, along with his multifarious personas, enabled him to reinvent himself throughout an extraordinary career that continues to inspire and transcend many different musical genres and cultural movements today.

Showtime Documentary Films announced it will premiere the network's first true crime docu-series,MURDER IN THE BAYOU, on Friday, September 13 at 9 p.m. ET/PT, from director Matthew Galkin (Kevorkian) and author Ethan Brown, whose New York Times Best Selling book Murder In The Bayou is the inspiration for the series. The remarkable story of the legendary Motown Records is told through new and exclusive interviews with the label's visionary founder, Berry Gordy, and many of its superstar artists and creative figures, as well as rare performances and behind-the-scenes footage unearthed from Motown's vaults and Gordy's personal archives. HITSVILLE: THE MAKING OF MOTOWN is the first documentary about the iconic label with Gordy's participation.
