Last night Broadway stars and student Thespians shared the stage at Edison Ballroom for the 5th Broadway Back to School Gala supporting the Educational Theatre Foundation. The event honoring Marc Shaiman and Scott Wittman's dedication to educational theatre featured some of the biggest names in Broadway, including legends Chita Rivera and Patti LuPone, host Laura Benanti, John Cariani, Gavin Creel, Evan Ruggiero, Carla Stickler, Alex Stone, and J. Harrison Ghee who appeared as Crystal Demure.

In May, The Studio Theatre Tierra del Sol (806 San Marino Drive, The Villages, FL) will continue its annual Summer Song Cycle Series with a collaborative work by Hunter Bell, Michael Berresse, Susan Blackwell, Heidi Blickenstaff, Jeff Bowen and Larry Pressgrove. Now. Here. This. is the second musical written by this creative team.
A-D-D-D-D-F#-A were the first notes of the show last Monday night, as the Actors Fund brought back the beloved fan favorite and critically acclaimed musical [title of show] in a reunion concert at The Broadhurst Theatre. This one-night only reunion starred original cast members Hunter Bell, Susan Blackwell, Heidi Blickenstaff and Jeff Bowen along with musical director Larry Pressgrove. All proceeds will benefit The Actors Fund.

Bucket List Theatre is excited to present SILENCE! The Musical, a bawdy, raunchy tribute to the iconic movie "The Silence of the Lambs." Bucket List Theatre is bringing this hilarious musical parody back to Los Angeles for the first time following its highly acclaimed 2012 run at The Hayworth Theatre where it won the Los Angeles Drama Critics Circle Award - Musical Score (2012). Original Los Angeles cast member Jesse Merlin stars as Dr. Hannibal Lecter along with Amanda Conlon as Clarice Starling and a multitalented cast who will provide a silly and suspenseful salute to the film.
At my last District Competition, I had the pleasure of performing a Small Group Musical entitled 9 Peoples Favorite Thing from the musical, Title of Show. When choosing pieces to take to competition, this song spoke to me because it relies on one simple message: to have confidence in yourself even when others don't believe in you.

Produced by and benefiting Broadway Cares/Equity Fights AIDS, Broadway Bares: Strip U raised $1,568,114 in two performances on June 18, 2017, at New York City's Hammerstein Ballroom. The show opened Saturday, July 23, and runs Thursdays through Saturdays at 7:30 PM, and Sundays at 2:00 PM through August 21 at Rivendell Theatre (5779 N. Ridge Avenue). Today in 2008, [title of show] opened at the Lyceum Theatre, where it ran for 102 performances. [title of show] is a one-act musical, with music and lyrics by Jeff Bowen and a book by Hunter Bell. The show chronicles its own creation as an entry in the New York Musical Theatre Festival, and follows the struggles of the author and composer/lyricist and their two actress friends during the initial brief (three-week) creative period, along with subsequent events leading up to the show's production. Writer/stars Bowen and Bell, as well as director Michael Berresse all won Obie Awards for their work on the off-Broadway production, and Bell was nominated for a Tony Award for Best Book of a Musical.
