Paper Mill Playhouse, recipient of the 2016 Regional Theatre Tony Award, presents the smash hit musical Million Dollar Quartet with book by Colin Escott and Floyd Mutrux, original concept by Mr. Mutrux, inspired by Elvis Presley, Johnny Cash, Jerry Lee Lewis, and Carl Perkins. Paper Mill Playhouse (Mark S. Hoebee-Producing Artistic Director, Todd Schmidt-Managing Director), recipient of the 2016 Regional Theatre Tony® Award, has announced casting for the smash hit musical Million Dollar Quartet with book by Colin Escott and Floyd Mutrux, original concept by Mr. Mutrux, inspired by Elvis Presley, Johnny Cash, Jerry Lee Lewis, and Carl Perkins. Directed by Tony® Award nominee Hunter Foster and with music direction by James Barry, the 8-member ensemble will feature James Barry as Carl Perkins, Alex Boniello as Elvis Presley, Jason Loughlin as Sam Phillips, Scott Moreau as Johnny Cash, David Sonneborn as Fluke, Bligh Voth as Dyanne, Sam Weber as Brother Jay, and Nat Zegree as Jerry Lee Lewis. 

In their primes, Elvis Presley, Johnny Cash, Jerry Lee Lewis and Carl Perkins could burn the house down at will. They weren't so much musicians as they were forces of nature, with talent and bravado that turned popular music upside down.

The all-new scripted series based on the Tony Award(R)-winning musical MILLION DOLLAR QUARTET will join 'Nashville' to complete CMT's new Thursday line-up. 

Following its annual season guessing game, Paper Mill Playhouse announced today the lineup for its 2016-2017 season, featuring four musicals, one play and a highly anticipated US premiere. The original lead singer of The Shirelles, Shirley Alston Reeves, attends Broadway's Baby It's You! and made a special curtain call announcement that she will be giving special post-show concerts from Tuesday July 19th - Friday July 22nd.

On May 3, Robert Britton Lyons, Million Dollar Quartet's original Carl Perkins, returned home to the Nederlander stage in the hit production. Lyons is just back from West End, where he originated the role of Perkins in Million Dollar Quartet for London audiences. Original co-star Hunter Foster rejoined the produciton on May 3, as well.

Yesterday evening, Clement took the stage of the Nederlander Theatre to join the cast of MILLION DOLLAR QUARTET in the special encore. Cowboy Jack Clement is a legendary songwriter and record producer. On the date of the 1956 Million Dollar Quartet sessions at Sun Records, Jack was the engineer. Without Cowboy Jack, Presley, Cash, Lewis & Perkin's impromptu recording session would never have been documented on tape. Cowboy Jack has worked with such legends as Johnny Cash, Dolly Parton, Ray Charles, Carl Perkins, Bobby Bare, Elvis Presley, Jim Reeves, Jerry Lee Lewis, Cliff Richard, Charley Pride, Tom Jones, Dickey Lee, Hank Snow, and Waylon Jennings.
