OPERA America has announced the recipients of its 2024 Repertoire Development Grants.

Tarragon Theatre is now presenting the world premiere of 3 Fingers Back, a co-production from Tarragon Theatre and lemonTree Creations.

The American Composers Orchestra (ACO) launches EarShot Publishing, an unprecedented music publishing initiative that will administer the rights for select orchestral works developed through its national EarShot composer advancement programs, which include Readings, CoLABoratory Fellowships, and other commissioning opportunities.

Marc Shaiman took to social media to share a video of his reaction to winning the Grammy for Best Musical Theater album for the musical Some Like It Hot.

The GRAMMY will be awarded to Christian Borle, J. Harrison Ghee, Adrianna Hicks and NaTasha Yvette Williams, principal vocalists; Mary-Mitchell Campbell, Bryan Carter, Scott M. Riesett, Charlie Rosen and Marc Shaiman, producers; Scott Wittman, lyricist; Marc Shaiman, composer and lyricist (Original Broadway Cast).

The play is by Sandy Rustin, Hunter Foster, and Eric Price, based on the screenplay by Jonathan Lynn. Under the wonderful direction of David Fritsch, the Ridgefield Theater Barn successfully put on yet another phenomenal production that combines comedy with murder mystery!

Five new recordings have earned nominations for Best Musical Theatre Album at the 2024 Grammy Awards, including: Kimberly Akimbo, Parade, Shucked, Some Like It Hot, and Sweeney Todd: The Demon Barber of Fleet Street. Listen to all of them here!

Heartbeat Opera returns to Baruch Performing Arts Center with its Spring Festival from April 2-14, 2024. 

Full casting has been announced for the North American tour of CLUE, the hilarious murder mystery comedy inspired by the board game and adapted from Paramount Pictures’ wildly popular film. The tour will launch in Minneapolis, MN, playing the Orpheum Theatre from February 27 to March 3, 2024.
