Messenger Legacy band—honoring the enduring influence of jazz great Ralph Peterson—appears at William Paterson University on May 20, 2023 at 8:00pm 

Pianist, composer and conductor Jim McNeely Pianist and composer Jim McNeely conducts the NEC Jazz Orchestra in a celebration of legendary trumpeter, composer and arranger Thad Jones, born 100 years ago on March 28, 1923.

In the exhibition Root of Color, artists showcase the role that color has played in bridging cultures, emotions, and traditions throughout history. For this special show in AHL's uptown gallery, four artists of Korean and Afro-Latino backgrounds were selected.

The Maui Arts & Cultural Center presents Aaron Goldberg, noted jazz pianist, bandleader, and collaborator with some of the industry’s most accomplished musicians in a Maui debut for his trio in a ‘MACC Al Fresco’ concert in the open-air Yokouchi Pavilion Friday, February 18 at 7:30 pm. Tickets go on sale Wednesday, February 9 at  10:00 am.

Combining their distinct talents, the group will sing their way through four decades of music, beginning with the early blues and jazz of the 1920s and ending in the early 1950s.
