The Syracuse University Department of Drama begins the Spring Semester of their 25/26 season with “Picnic,” by William Inge, directed by Ralph Zito.

With the Justice Department's recent release of the Epstein Files, certain individuals have been implicated in the 3.5 million emails that were made public on Janury 30. One of them in the theatre community was playwright Lauren Gunderson, who is named 9 times in the files.

I had never been to the Dome at Exploration Place, and I want to tell you that seeing Silent Sky in this setting was magical. The breathtaking 180 degree projections, by Jordan Slusher, wrapped around and hugged the actors and the audience, immersing us completely in the world of the play. What an excellent idea for this site specific performance!

Joanna Pickering's play Misty and Rover has been selected for The Spark Theater Festival, with a special performance on Sunday, September 21st at 5:00 PM at the Chain Theater in New York City.

Dorset Theatre Festival has announced a staged reading of the new play Bad Dates: End Game by Theresa Rebeck, directed by John Benjamin Hickey, starring Julie White. The performance will take place September 13, 2025 at the Dorset Playhouse.

The Adobe Theater will present William Inge’s uproarious comedy Bus Stop September 5 - 28. Fridays and Saturdays 7.30pm, Sundays at 2.00pm. Saturday, September 20, matinee at 2pm only. Thursdays, September 11 and 25 ($10 tix available). 

As part of the official program for the Off-Avignon festival, Joanna Pickering will perform her one act play Lara's Journey on July 17th at 11.30 a.m. at Theatre Avignon de l'Ange.

Joanna Pickering's new one-woman play, Lara's Journey, completes casting and announces Ukrainian actress Yeva Sevriukova. Sevriukova, who stars in the title role, is a seasoned stage and TV actress in Kyiv, Ukraine. She came to the USA when her career was halted due to the Ukraine war.

Elliot Norton Award winning Hub Theatre Company of Boston will kick off its highly anticipated 12th season with Theresa Rebeck’s celebrated comedy The Understudy, directed by five time Elliot Norton Award winner Paula Plum.
