On June 8th, North Carolina Theatre announced that based on recommendations from the City of Raleigh and given the circumstances surrounding the current health pandemic, they ended up canceling the remainder of their 2019-20 Season, which includes productions of Memphis, The Sound of Music, and Edges.

Falsettos komt als opvolger van de gelauwerde OpusOne-productie Fun Home vanaf eind oktober 2020 naar DeLaMar Theater in Amsterdam. De met vele awards bekroonde muzikale autobiografie van William Finn vertelt de belevenissen van Marvin en zijn uniek samengestelde gezin. De hoofdrollen zijn weggelegd voor Brigitte Heitzer en William Spaaij die voor het eerst samen in een musical te zien zijn. Verder zijn Joy Wielkens, Ad Knippels, Job Greuter en Julia Herfst te zien in deze inventieve, humoristische, maar ook meeslepende musical. De vertaling en regie zijn in handen van Koen van Dijk en Marco Braam heeft de muzikale leiding. Falsettos speelt woensdag t/m zondag van 28 oktober t/m 8 november 2020 in de Wim Sonneveld zaal van DeLaMar Theater.

Today we rewind to 2016 for the first revival of Falsettos, which starred Stephanie J. Block, Christian Borle, Andrew Rannells, Anthony Rosenthal, Tracie Thoms, Brandon Uranowitz and Betsy Wolfe. The musical, written by William Finn and James Lapine, played for 84 performances at the Walter Kerr Theatre and was nominated for five Tony Awards.
