Today we rewind to 2015, when Encores! Off Center presented William Finn and James Lapine's A New Brain, starring Jonathan Groff, Dan Fogler, Ana Gasteyer, Aaron Lazar and Rema Webb. Though many of Finn's previous musicals were to some extent autobiographical, A New Brain deals directly with his own harrowing experience with an arteriovenous malformation and the healing power of art.
