Rehearsals begin today for Sue Townsend's The Secret Diary of Adrian Mole aged 13¾ - The Musical, which will open at the Ambassadors Theatre for a limited season from 15 June until 12 October 2019, with a Gala Night on Tuesday 2 July. The musical has book and lyrics by Jake Brunger, music and lyrics by Pippa Cleary and direction by Luke Sheppard.

Epic Theatre Company is excited to announce a summer for everyone with two familiar classics that will touch the heart and revive the spirit. After the success of previous edgier warm weather fare, the theater is thrilled to turn its attention to programming that's accessible for all ages and audiences with new adaptations of the perennial classics Charlotte's Web and The Secret Garden.

The Orleans Hotel and Casino will bring highly-acclaimed stand-up comedians to The Orleans Showroom this summer as part of a comedy series, starring Whitney Cummings, Bryan Callen, Brendan Schaub, Celeste Barber and Deon Cole. The comedy series will also be hosted by well-known actor and comedian, Jimmie "JJ" Walker.

The University of Washington School of Drama will present Richard Wilbur's translation of Moliere's les Femmes savantes, The Learned Ladies, May 22ndthrough June 2nd in the Glenn Hughes Penthouse Theatre on the UW-Seattle campus. The production is directed by internationally renowned performer and teacher of Clown and physical comedy, Jane Nichols, and features a cast of second- and third-year graduate acting students from the Professional Actor Training Program.

Acclaimed singer and songwriter Josh Ritter's new album, Fever Breaks, debuts at #4 on Billboard's Americana/Folk Albums Chart, #5 on Independent Albums Chart, #14 on Top Current Albums Chart and appears on the Billboard 200. Produced by Grammy Award-winning musician Jason Isbell, the 10-track album was recorded at Nashville's historic RCA Studio A and features Isbell's band, the 400 Unit.

Today, the critically-acclaimed duo Penny and Sparrow announced they will release their sixth studio album Finch on August 2 via Thirty Tigers. The ten song collection finds Andy Baxter and Kyle Jahnke in a metamorphic state of personal transformation where they shed long held perceptions of the world around them after rigorous touring for many years. Today, the duo released 'Eloise,' the first song to be released from Finch.

Today, Boston-based trio Palehound have unveiled a new song/video “Worthy” off their forthcoming album via PAPER Magazine. With “Worthy,” prolific singer/songwriter Ellen Kempner continues to imbue her thoughtful narrative voice on the much-anticipated album Black Friday due out June 7on Polyvinyl Record Co. It speaks to the challenge of navigating self-confidence issues in relationships, and delicately showcases Kempner's lyrical finesse (“And I've won over your mother, darling/And I've won over your sister too/And I won over your father, darling/And I still don't feel worthy of you”).  

 Kiefer Sutherland's sophomore album, the 10-song Reckless & Me, is out today (4/26) via BMG on an early wave of praise. The new album delivers Sutherland's Americana and country rock-infused songwriting style and highlights his gift of soulful storytelling. On Thursday, May 2, fans can tune into “The Talk” on CBS to catch Sutherland and his band perform “Something You Love,” the album's latest single.

The three-day event begins with the company launch and fundraiser on Saturday, May 18 at 7pm, followed by two free staged public readings of two-time Pulitzer Prize winner Richard Wilbur's translation of Moliere's THE MISANTHROPE, directed by Moliere in the Park's Founding Artistic Director Lucie Tiberghien, with original songs by Tony and two-time Obie Award winner Stew, on Sunday, May 19 at 7pm and Monday, May 20 at 7pm.

Moliere in the Park, presented in partnership with the Prospect Park Alliance and the LeFrak Center at Lakeside, has announced its inaugural season.

Kiefer Sutherland has announced his initial U.S. touring plans for 2019 with a run of shows in support of his sophomore album, Reckless & Me, which is out worldwide this Friday, April 26 via BMG.

Shakespeare's Globe announced the full cast for William Shakespeare's The Merry Wives of Windsor, directed by Elle While, and Ben Jonson's Bartholomew Fair, directed by Blanche McIntyre.

SHOWTIME will premiere the second season of its animated comedy series OUR CARTOON PRESIDENT on Sunday, May 12 at 8 p.m. ET/PT, and will feature an animated appearance from Queer Eye's Jonathan Van Ness. Additionally, SHOWTIME has released the official key art and trailer for season two, which will consist of 10 half-hour episodes.

Pianist, singer and songwriter Bruce Hornsby's highly anticipated new album Absolute Zero—out on April 12—premieres via NPR Music's First Listen, who proclaim, “Absolute Zero is the sound of an artist subverting expectations and pulling it off brilliantly. Nationally acclaimed Wild Swan Theater concludes its 39th season of bringing the finest in professional theater to area families with Charlotte's Web May 1-5, 2019.   Possibly one of the most popular American children's stories today, Charlotte's Web tells the story of a very special friendship between a baby pig, Wilbur, and a spider, Charlotte, and how she weaves magical words in her web to save Wilbur's life.

Drowse, the nom de plume of Portland-based musician Kyle Bates, has resurfaced with a new chapter in the project's emotionally brutalizing, musically fearless narrative. Following up his wildly acclaimed sophomore LP Cold Air, Bates has announced the forthcoming release of Light Mirror. The album is due out on June 7 via The Flenser. 

“These songs come from a place of exhaustion, bewilderment and pure love,” says Nashville-based singer/songwriter Dawn Landes of My Tiny Twilight, a six-song collection out May 10 on Yep Roc Records.
