The West End transfer of Sue Townsend's THE SECRET DIARY OF ADRIAN MOLE AGED 13¾ - THE MUSICAL is closing, after a successful run at The Ambassadors Theatre, on 28 September.

Charlotte's Web, one of the most beloved stories in American children's literature, will come to life on the stage of the MCT Center for the Performing Arts Sept 12-13. Produced by the Missoula Children's Theatre (MCT), Charlotte's Web is MCT's annual Theatre for Young Audiences (TYA) production. TYA is children's theatre featuring professional adult actors.

Complete casting and select tour dates have been announced for the National Tour of the Tony Award-nominated roller-skating smash hit musical XANADU, starring previously announced 'RuPaul's Drag Race' season five winner, Jinkx Monsoon (Calliope), and season seven finalist, Ginger Minj (Melpomene).

Devendra Banhart releases the third song from his forthcoming album Ma, 'Memorial,' today. The album will be released on September 13 on Nonesuch Records. A tribute to loved ones who have gone too soon, 'Memorial' explores the process of mourning. The intimacy of the recording, the sadness in Banhart's quivering vocals, and the beautiful melancholy of the lyrics showcase an artist attempting to understand death.

The Kavinoky Theatre, a professional theatre on the campus of D'Youville College, celebrates its 40th Anniversary season with the smash hit musical comedy Hairspray. 

Today, as the pre-order launched for their new album, Hey, I'm Just Like You (Sire), Tegan and Sara shared the first single, “I'll Be Back Someday,” an infectious track with an indelible chorus that bristles with punk rock fervor.

Asheville Creative Arts (ACA), Asheville's professional children's theatre, completes its 7th season with CHARLOTTE'S WEB. Adapted by Joseph Robinette from the beloved children's book by E.B. White, this production is directed by Abby Felder, features original folk music from Jonesalee (Gina Stewart and Brenda Gambill), puppets, costumes and sets by Edwin Salas Acosta, musical direction by Kylie Irvin, choreography by Isabelle Bowser, dramaturgey by Alex Smith, lights by Jason Williams with outreach from ACA's Community Development Director, Daniele Martin, and production and marketing support from Brook Bresnan. CHARLOTTE'S WEB will run at Magnetic 375 (375 Depot Street) from July 18-28, with public performances Fridays at 7, Saturdays at 4 (with all tickets pay-what-you-wish), and Sundays at 1pm (tickets to Friday and Sunday performances $12 for students and $23 for adults). Bay Area Musicals' production of HAIRSPRAY runs from July 6 - August 11, 2019 and will perform at San Francisco's Victoria Theatre (2961 16th St, San Francisco, CA 94103). Internationally acclaimed singer-songwriter Joshua Radin announces his new album Here, Right Now will be released on October 4th 2019 via his new label home, Nettwerk Music Group. Today, he shares the album's title track, which features vocals from Maria Taylor and serves as a reminder to Radin to stay focused on the present.

Devendra Banhart releases the second song from his forthcoming album Ma, 'Abre Las Manos' - which translates to 'Open Your Hands' - today. The album will be released on September 13 on Nonesuch Records. Like many of the songs on Ma, 'Abre Las Manos,' which is sung in Spanish (English translation below), was inspired by Banhart's relationship with his motherland, Venezuela. Today's release is accompanied by a visual slideshow of amateur photographs taken from Flickr of Caracas and El Avila National Park in Venezuela that were licensed through Creative Commons.

The Cincinnati Symphony Orchestra (CSO) announced today that two new staff conductors will join the CSO in September 2019. Franc?ois Lo?pez-Ferrer will be the new Assistant Conductor for the Cincinnati Symphony Orchestra and May Festival, and Wilbur Lin will be the new Assistant Conductor for the Cincinnati Pops and Conductor for the Cincinnati Symphony Youth Orchestra Philharmonic. They succeed Keitaro Harada and Gene Chang, whose successful tenures are completed this season.

Bay Area Musical's production of HAIRSPRAY rocks the house early 1960s style, with lacquered bouffants and non-stop music, dancing and comedy – all wrapped up in a story about spunky, plus-sized teen Tracy Turnblad of Baltimore and her dream to be a dancer on the local TV dance program, “The Corny Collins Show.”
