Wright State Theatre presents the contemporary musical comedy, SISTER ACT, from November 4-20 in the Festival Playhouse at Wright State University’s Creative Arts Center.

The best of Broadway was at the Ethel Barrymore Theatre on Thursday, where The Piano Lesson, directed by Tony Award nominee LaTanya Richardson Jackson and starring Samuel L. Jackson, John David Washington, and Danielle Brooks, opened on Broadway. On The View, Goldberg revealed to her Sister Act co-star Kathy Najimy that Sister Act 3 'is happening' and that she will be getting a script at the end of the month. Goldberg attributed Disney's interest in the project to the success of Hocus Pocus 2. Goldberg has also teased the film with Tyler Perry and Jenifer Lewis.

GHOST THE MUSICAL at Toby’s Dinner Theater in Columbia, based 1990's movie Ghost, starring Demi Moore and Patrick Swayze, offers romance, drama and retro vibes. The 1955 tune “Unchained Melody” strings the whole thing together. Cast and orchestra are harmonic and wonderfully watchable. Production values are excellent and dinner is delicious.

Screenings will kick off with the Opening Night presentation of Mark Fletcher’s Patrick and the Whale, followed by the Centerpiece Selections of Ben Klein and Violet Columbus’ The Exiles and Shaunak Sen’s All That Breathes, with Kathlyn Horan’s The Return of Tanya Tucker – Featuring Brandi Carlile screening on Closing Night.

'Sister Act - The Musical' based on the 1992 movie has landed in Oslo. 'Sister Act,' which opened last night. While the original creatives is only partly successful in adapting the 1992 movie to the stage, it is a feel-good crowd-pleaser worth seeing.

ABC’s “The View” kicks off premiere week of season 26 averaging 2.211 million Total Viewers, 248,000 Women 25-54 and 176,000 Women 18-49, during the week of Sept. 5, 2022, based on Live + Same Day Data from Nielsen Media Research. The View stars Whoopi Goldberg, Joy Behar, Sunny Hostin, Sara Haines and Ana Navarro.

New tickets for the January school holidays are on sale this week for the Tony Award-winning Broadway production of Rodgers + Hammerstein's Cinderella, which will waltz into Sydney's Lyric Theatre in October. Pre-sales for tickets up to 22 January 2023 have begun and general public sales commence Friday 16 September.
