The international comedy hit My Mother’s Italian, My Father’s Jewish & I’m in Therapy!, featuring actor & comedian Peter J. Fogel, will be coming to the Lakewood Cultural Center for 3 weeks only from August 3-21, 2022.

LITTLE SHOP OF HORRORS – in partnership with the Times Square Alliance and the Westside Theatre – will be hosting a Skid Row Block Party on Saturday, July 23, 2022, in honor of the 40th anniversary of the musical’s premiere at the Orpheum Theatre in July 1982.

TheatreWorks Silicon Valley announced its 52nd season, featuring six plays and musicals to be presented November 2022 through August 2023. Three of the season's productions will be mounted at the Mountain View Center for the Performing Arts, and three will be staged at Palo Alto's Lucie Stern Theatre. All For One Theater has announced that an additional week of performances have been added to the limited run of the world premiere of Mister Miss America, written and performed by Neil D'Astolfo and directed by Tony Speciale. The production is now playing July 6 through August 7 at Rattlestick Playwrights Theater.

PRIMARY STAGES announced casting for On That Day in Amsterdam by Clarence Coo (People Sitting in Darkness) and directed by Zi Alikhan (The Boy Who Danced on Air). On That Day in Amsterdam will begin previews at 59E59’s Theater A on July 23, 2022, with opening night set for August 11 for a limited run through September 4, 2022.

Skylar Astin revealed in an Instagram story post that he tested positive for COVID-19, and will be missing some upcoming performances of Little Shop of Horrors.

A private 29-hour reading of a new musical adaptation of The Great Gatsby, written by the Tony Award-nominated songwriting duo of Nathan Tysen and Jason Howland (Paradise Square), with book by Kait Kerrigan (The Mad Ones) and directed by Mark Bruni (Beautiful: The Carole King Musical), will be held tomorrow, Friday, May 20 in New York City.

Skylar Astin (Pitch Perfect, Spring Awakening, “Zoey’s Extraordinary Playlist”) made his debut as Seymour in LITTLE SHOP OF HORRORS last night, Tuesday, May 17, at the Westside Theatre (407 West 43rd Street).

Penguin Rep Theatre announced today the Off-Broadway premiere of Mr. Parker, a new play written by Michael McKeever and directed by Joe Brancato. Performances will begin Wednesday, June 1, 2022, for a limited engagement through June 25, 2022, at Theatre Row – Theatre 1 (410 West 42nd Street). Opening Night is Monday, June 6, 2022, at 7:00PM.
