Five-time GRAMMY winner and GRAMMY Legend Award recipient Billy Joel has been added to the lineup for the 66th GRAMMY Awards, joining previously announced performers Burna Boy, Luke Combs, Billie Eilish, Dua Lipa, Olivia Rodrigo, and Travis Scott.

Ayo Edebiri will host “Saturday Night Live” for the first time. Edebiri stars on “The Bear,” for which she recently won an Emmy, Critics Choice and Golden Globe Award. Jennifer Lopez will make her fourth appearance as musical guest, having previously hosted three times. Her upcoming album “This Is Me ... Now.'

Fiddler on the Roof director Norman Jewison has passed away at 97. He was nominated for an Oscar for directing the 1971 film adaptation of Fiddler on the Roof, starring Topol, Norma Crane, Leonard Frey, Molly Picon, and Paul Mann. Jewison also directed Moonstruck, which won Cher an Academy Award.

Colman Domingo, the Emmy Award-winning actor, playwright and producer, has received a 2024 Bafta, SAG, Critics Choice and Golden Globe award nomination for his role as Bayard Rustin in Higher Ground's Rustin. Additionally, Domingo is well known for his Emmy Award-winning role as “Ali” in HBO's Euphoria as well as his roles in The Color Purple.

MGM+ announced that Forest Whitaker (Godfather of Harlem) will star in Emperor of Ocean Park, a thrilling, suspenseful take on author and law professor Stephen L. Carter's best-selling novel, from executive producer/writer Sherman Payne (Charm City Kings, Shameless), John Wells Productions (JWP), and Warner Bros. Television.

Annaleigh Ashford has signed on to lead Happy Face, a new drama series coming to Paramount+. The Tony-winner, who takes her final bow in Sweeny Todd this Sunday, will headline the new series that follows the true-life story of Melissa Moore. At 15, Moore uncovered that her father was known as the notable serial killer 'Happy Face.'

Jacob Elordi (Priscilla, Saltburn), Christoph Waltz (Django Unchained) and Felix Kammerer (All Quiet on the Western Front) will join Oscar Isaac and Mia Goth in Guillermo del Toro's Frankenstein. Lars Mikkelsen (The Witcher), David Bradley (Guillermo del Toro’s Pinocchio) and Christian Convery (Sweet Tooth) also join the ensemble.

Season 24 of “The Voice” will conclude with special performances from Earth, Wind & Fire, Keith Urban, AJR, Jelly Roll, Tyla and Season 25 coaches Dan + Shay during the live show on Tuesday, Dec. 19 (9-11 p.m. ET/PT). Season 22 winner of “The Voice,” Bryce Leatherwood, will perform during the broadcast on Monday, Dec. 18 (8-10 p.m. ET/PT).

Cher has been added to the lineup for iHeartRadio Z100’s Jingle Ball 2023 Presented by Capital One. The star-studded lineup also features Olivia Rodrigo, SZA, OneRepublic, Sabrina Carpenter, Jelly Roll, Big Time Rush, Doechii, Pentatonix, David Kushner, Melanie Martinez and a special performance from Cher.

Michael Keaton will be returning in the title role, with Winona Ryder returning as Lydia Deetz and Catherine O'Hara returning as Delia Deetz. Wednesday star Jenna Ortega is set to join the cast as Lydia's daughter. Willem Dafoe and Justin Theroux will play unspecified characters. Monica Bellucci will appear as Beetlejuice's wife. 

Marl Rylance and Damian Lewis are starring in a sequel to PBS' Emmy-nominated miniseries adaptation of Wolf Hall. Rylance and Lewis will reprise their roles as Thomas Cromwell and English King Henry VIII, respectively. Jonathan Pryce, Kate Phillips and Lilit Lesser will also return to their roles for the series.

The Atlantic magazine will publish a new play by Anna Deavere Smith, titled The Ghost of Slavery, in its December issue. The play is also available in full on the magazine's website.

The Artful Dodger, a new Australian series based on the iconic Oliver Twist character, will premiere on Hulu. In John Leguizamo Live at Rikers Leguizamo performs his hit one-man Broadway show Ghetto Klown at Rikers Island Correctional Facility for an audience of over 400 inmates. Following the performance, Leguizamo leads intimate group discussions with young men who are enrolled in Getting Out and Staying Out (GOSO).
