The UK Pantomime Association (UKPA) has announced the winners of The Pantomime Awards 2023 in association with Butlin’s at a star-studded ceremony which took place at the Trafalgar Theatre in London’s West End on the evening of Tuesday 11 April 2023.  

The winners have been unveiled for this year’s Olivier Awards with Mastercard, British theatre’s biggest night, which took place on Sunday 2 April at the Royal Albert Hall in London, hosted by Hannah Waddingham. Check out the photos of the winners here.

From my experience, I think there’s a snobbery within the theatre community that these shows are not as important, or worthy as their adult aimed counterparts. But in my opinion, these shows are really important, because very often they are someone first theatre experience, and with that comes the opportunity to make new people fall in love with theatre.

Vikki Stone is an award-winning comedian, actor and composer. She usually spends the festive season on stage in a panto. But this year, she's the composer of Aladdin, currently playing at the Lyric Hammersmith. We spoke with Stone about her involvement in the production.
