Mainstage Irving-Las Colinas Reveals 2023-2024 Season: SECRETS, LIES, AND CHAOS

After a momentous 50th anniversary season, MainStage Irving-Las Colinas has announced their 2023-2024 season entitled “Secrets, Lies, and Chaos.” The season will begin with a production of the play Tigers Be Still - MainStage's first produced show at their downtown Irving venue, MainStage 222 - and continue with five productions each running for three weekends at Irving Arts Center – Dirty Rotten Scoundrels, The 39 Steps, Dear Brutus, Grand Hotel, the Musical, and The Children's Hour. 

Broadway Rewind: GRAND HOTEL Returns with James Snyder, Brandon Uranowitz and More!

Today we rewind to 2018, when Encores brought Grand Hotel back to the stage. Originally produced under the title At the Grand (1958), with a score by Robert Wrightand George Forrest and book by Luther Davis, the production was revitalized in 1989 by director-choreographer Tommy Tune, with additional music and lyrics by Maury Yeston, for a Tony Award-winning run on Broadway.

Check In And Check Out The GRAND HOTEL At The Palm Canyon Theatre

This lively musical tells the story of a weekend at the hotel and the eccentric characters that are staying there. From the skeptical doctor to the fatally ill bookkeeper to the fading prima ballerina, there is a character for everyone in this hit musical. The Palm Canyon Theatre presents the hit Broadway Musical GRAND HOTEL for two weekends beginning April 5.

Casting Announced for THE WORLD GOES ROUND at Reprise 2.0

REPRISE 2.0, led by Producing Artistic Director Marcia Seligson, in association with the UCLA School of Theater, Film and Television Department of Theater (UCLA TFT) chaired by Brian Kite, announces Dawnn Lewis (This Is Us, Major Crimes and IZombie), Valerie Perri (LA Shubert Theatre Evita, Jerome Robbins' Broadway) Larry Cedar (Deadwood), Kelley Dorney (Annie at Hollywood Bowl) and Michael Starr (Bright Star national tour) for its production of The World Goes 'Round with music by John Kander, lyrics by Fred Ebb and conceived by Scott Ellis, Susan Stroman, and David Thompson. It will play September 5 through September 16 at UCLA's Freud Playhouse.

A collection of eccentrics sashay through the revolving doors of the Grand Hotel as the Golden Twenties in Weimar Berlin comes alluringly to life in the Shaw Festival's main stage musical Grand Hotel. Directed by Eda Holmes, with music direction by Paul Sportelli and choreography by Parker Esse, Grand Hotel soars with song and dance encapsulating the era's zest for life. Grand Hotel begins previews May 3 at the Festival Theatre.
