GRAND HOTEL: THE MUSICAL to Open at Arena Dinner Theatre in Fort Wayne

Arena Dinner Theatre has announced its upcoming production of the dazzling, multi-Tony Award-winning Broadway sensation, Grand Hotel: The Musical. The production will run from June 12 through June 27, 2026.

Set in the opulent, bustling lobby of a prestigious Berlin hotel in 1928, the production takes audiences on a whirlwind weekend. Based on Vicki Baum's 1929 novel Grand Hotel, the story follows a revolving door of guests including a fading prima ballerina, a fatally ill bookkeeper, a destitute baron, a cynical doctor, and a young typist with Hollywood dreams, all racing toward their own destinies.

“We are incredibly excited to bring this ambitious and visually captivating masterpiece to the stage,” said director Christopher J. Murphy. “The music is gorgeous, the choreography is breathtaking, and our talented local cast has poured their hearts into capturing the elegance and desperation of 1920's Berlin. It's a spectacular, character-driven story that our community won't want to miss.”

The production features a cast of 19 creatives, including Todd Frymier as Otto Kringelein, and the married powerhouse couple Jimmy Mitchell and Lindsay Hoops as The Baron and Grushinskaya. Music Direction by Ben Wedler and Choreography by Olivia Rang.
