Featured dancers are Katherine St. Jean and Mary Eisener, both recipients of awards at international ballet competitions, and guest Albert Davidov. Other dancers will be drawn from Kozlova's ballet school, where her teaching method combines the Bolshoi School with Balanchine methods of training, and the cast includes several remarkable young dancers who have won medals in ballet competitions around the world. 

'Modern Dance 101,' a program of rarely seen works by Ruth St. Denis and Ted Shawn, regarded as the Mother and Father of American Modern Dance, will be presented September 30-October 3, 2021 at the Theatre at St. Jeans, 150 East 76th Street, NYC.

The 2021 edition of the Valentina Kozlova International Ballet Competition will take place online, March 8-19, with dancers performing live and in their own time zones in Asia, North America, South America, Eastern Europe, South Africa, and Australia.

The 2021 Valentina Kozlova International Ballet Competition will take place on line, March 8-19. More than 100 dancers from around the world will dance for medals, scholarships to international schools, company contracts, and other awards before distinguished juries. 

The 2021 Valentina Kozlova International Ballet Competition will take place online, with dancers performing live and in their own time zones, in Asia, North America, South America, Eastern Europe, South Africa, and Australia.  For each time zone, there will be a different panel of judges.  (specific details t.b.a.) 

Valentina Kozlova's Dance Conservatory welcomes two classical ballet teachers to the faculty: Diane Hakak and Dan Sas.   

Joo Won Ahn, Aran Bell, Skylar Brandt, Thomas Forster, Calvin Royal III and Cassandra Trenary have been appointed to the rank of Principal Dancer with American Ballet Theatre. Gabe Stone Shayer has been promoted to the rank of Soloist. The promotions, announced today by ABT Artistic Director Kevin McKenzie, are effective immediately.

Symphony Space decided to close until April 1st, which causes the cancellation of the 2020 Kozlova International Ballet Competition. The theater is already booked for March 15-19, 2021, and the celebrations will take place then - bigger and better! - just one year later.

This year's KOZLOVA INTERNATIONAL BALLET COMPETITION includes two special events:

The year 2020 celebrates the 10th anniversary of the Valentina Kozlova International Ballet Competition and the 40th anniversary of Kozlova's defection, with Leonid Kozlov, from the Soviet Union (the couple were principal dancers with the Bolshoi Ballet and defected when the Company performed in Los Angeles).

Valentina Kozlova announces the 10th annual Kozlova International Ballet Competition, hosting 100+ dancers from around the world. Once again, one day will be set aside for both performers and choreographers of contemporary dance, who will also compete for company contracts and scholarships to dance academies around the world. This year's event is a major celebration of two events: the 10th Anniversary of VKIBC, and the 40th Anniversary of the defection from the Bolshoi Ballet of Valentina Kozlova and Leonid Kozlov, who will be reunited on stage in a Gala Performance Thursday March 19th, with guest appearances by past VKIBC winners, including Brooklyn Mack.

Announcing the medalists and recipients of scholarships and company contracts of the 9th Annual Valentina Kozlova International Ballet Competition, which includes both classical and contemporary dance. Classical entrants selected their dances from a list created by VKIBC, including variations and pas de deux from Swan Lake, Flames of Paris, La Bayadere, Talisman, Walpurgis Nacht, Laurencia, and many more.

Over 40 young dancers, with guest medalists from last month's Valentina Kozlova International Ballet Competition, will appear in Kozlova's annual Spring Gala, Saturday April 20, 7 PM, performing excerpts from classical ballets as well as original contemporary works created especially for them.

K'Arts Ballet of Korea will present the American premiere of Song of the Mermaid, a fantasy ballet choreographed by SunHee Kim, running October 20 and 21 at New York City Center. Song of the Mermaid, inspired by Hans Christian Andersen's beloved tale 'The Little Mermaid,' will star Kimin Kim, principal dancer of Mariinsky Ballet, and feature 40 dancers and an original score composed by Hana Ryou.

Boston Ballet Artistic Director Mikko Nissinen announces the 2018–2019 season roster. A total of 66 dancers make up the Company roster, with 56 in the main company and ten in Boston Ballet II (BBII), Boston Ballet's second company. Five new dancers join the main company, six new dancers join BBII, and five Boston Ballet dancers received promotions for the upcoming season.
