An American stand-up who recently topped the iTunes comedy charts will be swapping New York's Carnegie Hall for a hotel in Henley-on-Thames next month.

The world premiere of Lash by award-winning playwright and Fringe favourite Philip Stokes, performed by Jack Stokes, winner of the Theatre Weekly Award for Best Solo Performer at last year’s Fringe, opens at the Pleasance Courtyard on 2 August at 23.00, just in time for last orders (press performances from 4 August).  

After winning the Critic's Award for Best Play, and the Theatre Weekly Award for Best Solo Performer at the Edinburgh Festival Fringe last year, and following a run in Australia and a UK tour, Philip Stokes' play Jesus, Jane, Mother & Me will return to the Pleasance from 2 August. Produced by Lawrence Batley Theatre, Richard Jordan Productions, 412, Ketchup Productions in association with The Pleasance.

The album was teased by three previously released singles, including “Softy” released earlier this week, the thoughtful “All the Time in the World” which serves as a reminder to stop and take a breath when the world is in a spiral, and the albums lead single, “Guanaco.' 'That Science Gang,' has announced their upcoming show, The Alphabet of Awesome Science, set to captivate audiences of all ages at Underbelly, George Square at Edinburgh Fringe Festival 2023. Referring to their shows as 'Science Theatre' combining entertainment and education, this unique children's show will take place from August 2nd to 13th, 15th to 20th, and 22nd to 28th, 2023.

Victoria Canal has debuted two new singles, “Shape” and “She Walks In” via Elektra. Her first new music since the release of 2022’s Elegy EP, “Shape” premiered last night on Future Sounds with Clara Amfo on BBC Radio 1. 'Shape' and 'She Walks In' mark the first time Canal has written about her body and body dysmorphia.
