The Composers Showcase has joined forces with WE/EC (stage technicians and backstage workers) and will present the first live showcase since March when The Smith Center was closed due to the pandemic. The Composers Showcase will kick off On With the Show! a 4-night live-streamathon on YouTube and Twitch beginning in the evening on Oct. 23 and continuing in the evenings Oct. 24-26.

Just in time for Christmas, singer-songwriter Audra Mae, the great grand-niece of Judy Garland, shares her rendition of the enchanting classic 'Somewhere Over The Rainbow'. Mae is also known for writing songs and singing with artists such as Christina Aguilera, The Chainsmokers, and Avicii. Cute costumed kids filed into The Duke Energy Center Thursday night to see Lythgoe Family Panto production of ALADDIN AND HIS WINTER WISH. The show marks the first of a three-year partnership between the Lythgoe family and North Carolina Theatre and the first foray into the Christmas show market for North Carolina Theatre. While this isn't the Disney version of ALADDIN, the story is essentially the same. A street rat with a dream meets a princess, gets trapped in a cave, finds a lamp, meets a Genie, makes a wish, buys a laundromat, makes it snow, and lives happily ever after. And by all accounts, the kids in the audience loved every minute of it.

North Carolina Theatre, the region's premiere nonprofit professional theatre, is proud to announce the cast for its special holiday production in partnership with Lythgoe Family Productions, Aladdin and His Winter Wish. A new addition to the theatre's upcoming 2018-19 season, Aladdin and His Winter Wish starring Broadway star Jason Gotay and the Bold and the Beautiful's Nia Sioux will run Nov. 29-Dec. 2 at Duke Energy Center for the Performing Arts in downtown Raleigh.

The newly re-opened The Mayfair Hotel has become one of the hottest new destinations to Los Angeles downtown after a packed grand opening this past weekend. Among the packed to the capacity crowd were many of the exhibiting artists such as Stephen Vanasco, Chaz, Cryptic, Herbie Fletcher and Risk, as well as musicians and hip-hop royalty like The Alchemist, DJ Muggs, Mickey Avalon, Landon McNamara, and hip-hop veteran Everlast who was also in attendance for the grand opening.
