A stage reading of Tennyson Bardwell's new play Glass Houses will be held at The Players Theatre on June 21st on 115 MacDougal Street in Greenwich Village at 7pm.

Craig Erwich, president, Hulu Originals & ABC Entertainment, today unveiled the ABC primetime schedule for the 2022-2023 fall season, featuring a strong, returning slate of established, fan-favorite shows and two new powerhouse scripted series, both anchored by bold and compelling female leads.

The Boston College Arts Council will present its 2022 Alumni Arts Award for Distinguished Achievement to Jeff Augustin, Class of 2008, an acclaimed and award-winning playwright and screenwriter whose plays have been performed at high-profile festivals and venues across the country. He will be on campus as the special alumni guest during the University's 24th annual Arts Festival, April 28-30, 2022, and participate in festival programming.  

This April, the César-nominated actor Camille Cottin will join the cast of the English National Opera’s (ENO) new production of The Handmaid’s Tale at the London Coliseum. Collaborating with a cast of world-class opera singers, Camille will be making her West End debut acting in her first opera.

Matt Bomer will reportedly play one of Leonard Bernstein's lovers. He joins the previously announced Bradley Cooper, who will direct and play Bernstein, and Carey Mulligan, who will play Felicia Montealegre, Bernstein's wife. Cooper will also write the script with Josh Singer.

Bradley Cooper has confirmed that his upcoming Leonard Bernstein biopic, Maestro, is set to begin filming in May. Cooper will direct and star in the upcoming film, also featuring Carey Mulligan as Felicia Montealegre, Bernstein's wife. Bernstein has conducted works such as West Side Story, Peter Pan, Candide, Wonderful Town, On the Town, and more.

The world premiere musical THE VISITOR, with music by Pulitzer Prize winner Tom Kitt, lyrics by Pulitzer Prize winner Brian Yorkey and a book by Kwame Kwei-Armah and Brian Yorkey, opened tonight at The Public Theater.

Disney's “Timmy Failure: Mistakes Were Made,” an original movie based on the best-selling book of the same name, debuts today, streaming only on Disney+. The film, which premiered at the Sundance Film Festival 2020 last week where it received overwhelmingly positive reviews, follows the hilarious exploits of our quirky, deadpan hero, Timmy Failure, who, along with his 1,500-pound polar bear partner Total, operates Total Failure Inc., a Portland detective agency.

TIMMY FAILURE: MISTAKES WERE MADE, becomes a movie on the streaming network Disney+ this month on February 7th, and a trailer was just released to get fans of the series excited. The cast just hosted a World Premiere Viewing Party, and BroadwayWorld Books has photos of the night to share, as well as the trailer and a bonus clip from the movie to get everyone excited for the upcoming release!

Sundance Institute will curate dozens of offscreen events, including behind-the-scenes panels on the art of filmmaking, musical performances and a?" around the theme of Imagined Futures a?" a public Bonfire and several extended post-screening conversations (known as IF Screenings), at the 2020 Sundance Film Festival taking place in Park City, Salt Lake City, and Sundance, Utah, January 23 through February 2, 2020.

Over the past 30 years, Adam Sandler, has enjoyed phenomenal success as a comedian, actor, writer, producer and musician. Sandler brings his 100% Fresher comedy act to Mohegan Sun Arena on Friday, March 20th at 8:00pm.

Variety reports that a drama starring Matt Damon will be released on November 6, 2020. Tom McCarthy directs the currently untitled script. 

This afternoon, Disney+ made its D23 Expo debut with its first-ever showcase presentation, announcing six new series in development and revealing key details about the highly anticipated streaming service to an enthusiastic audience at the Anaheim Convention Center in Anaheim. The event showcased the sweeping array of talent with in-person and video appearances from the stars of Disney+'s slate of originals from Disney, Pixar, Marvel, Star Wars, and National Geographic and included sneak peeks, trailer premieres, and exclusive news about the service and its upcoming projects. Actress Yvette Nicole Brown, who stars in the Disney+ original film “Lady and the Tramp,” hosted the lively presentation, welcoming Kevin Mayer, chairman, Direct-to-Consumer & International, to the stage to kick off the show.

It was announced Abigail Breslin will star alongside Matt Damon in the Tom McCarthy-directed “Stillwater,” according to a Variety exclusive.

Joana Vicente and Cameron Bailey, Co-Heads of TIFF, today announced the TIFF Tribute Gala, an annual awards fundraiser to support TIFF's year-round programmes and core mission to transform the way people see the world through film, and to celebrate the film industry's outstanding contributors. The event takes place Monday, September 9 at the Fairmont Royal York, during the 44th Toronto International Film Festival. To recognize their leadership in creating a union between social impact and cinema, the TIFF Tribute Gala will introduce the new TIFF Impact Award. Participant Media will receive the inaugural award, which will be accepted by Founder and Chairman Jeff Skoll and CEO David Linde, marking an incredible 15 years of social action through storytelling. The TIFF Tribute Gala will also include the new Mary Pickford Award, honouring a female emerging talent in the industry. The inaugural award is given this year in celebration of United Artists' 100th anniversary. The recipient of this award, as well as additional honourees for the TIFF Tribute Gala, will be announced in the coming weeks.
