After a thirty-year-plus hiatus, Todd Rundgren's Utopia graced the Chicago Theatre stage, with the hopes of promising fans an extraordinary, other-worldly concert experience. The original 70's-formed band established a stellar reputation for stretching the prog rock/pop envelope and infusing their mostly original material with verve and state-of-the-art technique. On this occasion the band featured Todd Rundgren, Kasim Sulton, Willie Wilcox and Gil Assayas.

Rob Mathes To Perform 3 Holiday Concerts This Weekend To Sold-Out Audiences

The holidays are Rob Mathes' favorite time of year - they are the time that Mathes returns home to the Greenwich, Connecticut, area and performs his annual Holiday Concert. This year's concerts are December 14 and 15 at the Performing Arts Center at Purchase College, and December 16 at the Schimmel Center in New York City. All three concerts are sold out and will feature Rob Mathes, his all-star band, his choir of 'Saints and Friends' and special guests Sting, Vanessa Williams and David Sanborn who will join Rob for a few holiday-themed songs at the Performing Arts Center. Sting and Vanessa Williams will also join Mathes at the Schimmel Center on Sunday for a few songs.

Eliot Lewis is a singer songwriter and multi-instrumentalist as well as being a key member of the the Daryl Hall & John Oates band. Eliot is also one of the original featured musicians on MTV's “Live From Daryl's House.” His contributions stand out on some of the best moments from the show including performances with Billy Gibbons (ZZ Top), Joe Walsh, Todd Rundgren,Train, Grace Potter, Ben Folds, Booker T, Jewel, Rob Thomas, Keb Mo, Jason Mraz, Darius Rucker, Gavin DeGraw and many, many others. Earlier in his career Eliot spent several years as a key member of the The Average White Band. Eliot toured, wrote and also produced several songs for the Scottish soul band.

Kaufman Music Center's Ecstatic Music Festival (EMF) returns for its ninth year, bringing together composers and performers from diverse musical backgrounds for six, one-night-only performances featuring world premieres, new arrangements and the opportunity to hear artists discuss their work.
