“Menopause The Musical” has opened with an expected “Hot Flash” for an eight week run at Overland Park’s New Theatre Restaurant. The jokes and song parodies are all gleefully inappropriate.

In celebration of moving into the theater & the 32 Broadway debuts taking place on and off stage, the company of CHICKEN & BISCUITS threw a picnic outside Circle In The Square Theatre with chicken and biscuits from Field Trip & Cheryl’s Global Soul.

Throughout the week, the show featured performances by Jeremy Jordan and the cast of off-Broadway's Little Shop of Horrors, Adrienne Warren, Ben Platt, the queens of Six, and Lindsay Pearce and Ginna Claire Mason of Wicked.

Annaleigh Ashford, Kerry Butler, Kristin Chenoweth, André De Shields, Jake Gyllenhaal, Christopher Jackson, Audra McDonald, Idina Menzel, Ruthie Ann Miles, Lin-Manuel Miranda, Bebe Neuwirth, Leslie Odom, Jr., Kelli O’Hara, Ben Platt, Jeremy Pope, Chita Rivera, Daphne Rubin-Vega and BD Wong are just some of the artists who are set to appear.   Additional performers and presenters will be announced later this week.

Stage Entertainment, James L. Nederlander and Tali Pelman, in association with Tina Turner, have announced that Tina - The Tina Turner Musical will star Nkeki Obi-Melekwe in the title role  beginning Tuesday, November 2, 2021. An original Broadway cast member, Nkeki Obi-Melekwe played Tina in the West End production and plays Tina at certain performances in the Broadway production as the Tina alternate.

Walnut Street Theatre, America's oldest theatre, announced today that guests will need to be fully vaccinated with an FDA- or WHO-authorized vaccine in order to attend a performance and must show proof of vaccination at their time of entry into the theatre with their valid ticket.
