It's Tina Turner's birthday! The casts of Tina: The Tina Turner Musical have come together from around the world to celebrate the icon's birthday.

The Green Room 42 has announced their line-up through next weekend. Located inside YOTEL Times Square (570 Tenth Avenue, Fourth Floor), The Green Room 42 is Broadway's newest, most spacious, and funkiest cabaret club.

Davon and the Spectacle will be making its NYC cabaret debut at the world famous don’t tell mama at 343 West 46th Street in Manhattan on Sunday, December 19. Tickets to the one-night-only event are $25 and go on sale at 9:00am on Wednesday, December 1.

Today, the band releases the album’s first single, a rollicking cover of Eddie Cochran’s “Nervous Breakdown” along with a video featuring vintage performance footage of the Cats cutting it up on stage in their heyday. Watch the new music video now!

This holiday season is a perfect time to see a Broadway show. During Thanksgiving, Christmas and New Year’s weeks, many shows are changing their performance schedules and adding special weekday matinees to accommodate visitors and locals spending their holidays in New York City.

Producers of the Broadway play Chicken & Biscuits announced that the production will resume performances on Friday, November 19, 2021, before playing a final performance of its limited engagement at Circle in the Square Theatre (235 West 50th Street) on Sunday, November 28, 2021. 

The American Civil Liberties Union and the New York Civil Liberties Union have announced performers and special guests set to join their hybrid streaming and in-person Sing Out For Freedom benefit concert on Monday, November 22 at 7:30pm (EST at The Town Hall).

Guests for the special include: Angela Bassett inducting Tina Turner, with performances by Christina Aguilera, Mickey Guyton, H.E.R., and Bryan Adams, Taylor Swift inducting Carole King, with performances by Swift and Jennifer Hudson, Drew Barrymore inducting The Go-Go's, and Paul McCartney inducting Foo Fighters.

 On February 10, 2022 New York City’s Obie Award-winning The Fire This Time Festival will release an anthology entitled 25 Plays from The Fire This Time Festival: A Decade of Recognition, Resistance, Resilience, Rebirth and Black Theatre.
