On July 1, the Toronto Symphony Orchestra (TSO) will take the stage at the beautiful Harbourfront Centre for a glorious—and free—Canada Day concert, marking both the nation’s 156th birthday and the grand finale of the TSO’s Centennial Celebration.

The Broadway community honors the memory of Tina Turner, the legendary music icon who passed away  on May 24, 2023, at the age of 83. On June 21, 2023, the lights of the Lunt-Fontanne Theatre in New York, the former  Broadway home to the hit musical based on the triumphant life story of Ms. Turner, will be dimmed for one minute at  exactly 7:00PM, in her honor. 

On Sunday night at the 76th Annual Tony Awards, Nevin Steinberg took home a Tony Award for 'Best Sound Design of a Musical' for his outstanding work on Sweeney Todd (currently running at the Lunt-Fontanne Theatre). After leaving the stage at the United Palace, Nevin checked in with BroadwayWorld's Richard Ridge to share his initial reaction!

The Broadway cast of A Beautiful Noise, The Neil Diamond Musical, featuring Will Swenson and Robyn Hurder, will be performing. Adrienne Warren, who received a Tony Award for her portrayal of Tina Turner in the Broadway musical TINA: THE TINA TURNER MUSICAL, will pay tribute to the legendary Queen of Rock n’ Roll. Signature Theatre announces that Signature favorites Awa Sal Secka (Gun and Powder, Blackbeard) and Shayla S. Simmons (After Midnight, Dreamgirls) will perform in Soul Divas Reprise, inspired by the sold-out cabaret from 2019 dedicated to the music of acclaimed musical divas from Aretha to Whitney to Tina. The cabaret will be music directed by Mark G. Meadows, Signature's Director of Cabarets. Soul Divas Reprise runs June 27 – July 9 in Signature's ARK Theatre.
