CONSTRUCTION OF THE HUMAN HEART Begins Performances at Access Theater, 9/5

Construction of the Human Heart, a bold and imaginative play by award-winning Australian playwright Ross Mueller, directed by Brendan Naylor, will receive its U.S. premiere at the Access Theater, 380 Broadway, with previews beginning Wednesday, September 5, at 8pm and opening Friday, September 7, at 8pm. Performances continue through September 16.

The Flea Set to Premiere JOB, Beginning 8/31

The Bats are back and in The Flea Theater's New York premiere production of JOB, written by Thomas Bradshaw and directed by Flea Resident Director Benjamin Kamine. Previews begin August 31, with opening night slated for Wednesday, September 19.

Brick Theater Presents NY Clown Theatre Festival 2012, 9/7-30

Now in its 7th year, The NY Clown Theatre Festival is New York's preeminent annual, international Clown Theatre festival. This year's event includes 34 shows in 24 days with over 150 clown performers from 16 countries including Finland, Mexico, France, New Zealand, and Wales. The festival also features classes taught by world-famous clown teachers, a clown-sourced iPhone-created silent film project and a performance by the co-creator and lead performer of Cirque de Soleil's Ovo! The Brick Theater, Inc. brings the festival back this fall, performing September 7th-30th at The Brick in Williamsburg, Brooklyn.

The New Group's THE GOOD MOTHER to Feature Darren Goldstein, Alfredo Narciso and More

The New Group has announced complete casting for Francine Volpe's suspenseful drama The Good Mother. Darren Goldstein, Alfredo Narciso, Eric Nelsen and Bill Sage join Gretchen Mol (previously announced) in this world premiere directed by Scott Elliott. Previews for the play, which launches The New Group's 2012-13 season, begin October 29 in advance of an Official Opening Night on Thursday, November 15. A limited Off-Broadway engagement is slated through December 22 at The New Group @ Theatre Row (The Acorn Theatre / 410 West 42nd Street / Acorn Theatre).

Alan Rickman Set to Lead KRAPP HOUR at Flea Theatre in 2013

Jim Simpson, artistic director and Carol Ostrow, producing director, announced today the line up for the upcoming 2012/2013 season at The Flea. Says Ostrow, "We are incredibly excited to unveil a season of astonishing World, American and New York City premiere productions."

Jonathan Marc Sherman's new work Clive arrives in Winter 2013, directed by and featuring Ethan Hawke in the title role.
