The New Group 2026's Gala honored Sarita Choudhury, Daphne Rubin-Vega, Jennifer Tilly and George Sheanshang with the 2026 Mimi and Michael Mendelson Award for Outstanding Commitment to Theater. See photos from the event here!

This special evening also provided critical funding for The New Group’s programs, including its tuition-free theater education program for high school students in New York City, the YTT College Access Program.
