Jim May, Sokolow Theatre/Dance Ensemble’s founder, is being honored with a Lifetime Achievement Award from The Martha Hill Dance Fund.

Maria Aparo, a fearless trailblazer and feminist creative visionary, has joined Bechdel Project as Co-Creative Director.

The legendary underground-breaking performance troupe, The Cockettes, played to sold-out houses at Joe's Pub at The Public Theater and Don't Tell Mama cabaret. Original Cockette and composer, Scrumbly Koldewyn was also part of the multiple and raucous events.  See photos from the show!

CollaborationTown is proud to present the New York premiere of Riddle of the Trilobites, a new musical with book and lyrics by Geo Decas O'Donnell and Jordan Seavey; music and lyrics by Nicholas Williams; and puppetry design by Amanda Villalobos. Directed by Obie Award winner Lee Sunday Evans (In the Green, Dance Nation), Riddle of the Trilobites began performances at the New Victory Theater (209 West 42nd Street) on February 7, 2020 and will run through February 23, 2020.

Two-time Obie Award winner and Waterwell Artistic Director Lee Sunday Evans (In the Green, Dance Nation, The Things That Were There) directs Riddle of the Trilobites, an original new musical by CollaborationTown [Family Play (1979 to Present)]. When young Aphra discovers an ancient prophecy, 'The trilobites cannot live, but will not die,' she and her arthropod pals set off on an underwater adventure to solve the riddle before a sea change of epic proportions destroys their home. Will they save the trilobite kingdom? Scuttle over to the New Victory Theater from February 7 - 23, 2020 to find out!

New York Butoh Institute presents the New York Butoh Institute Festival 19 from Thursday, October 10 through Sunday, October 27, 2019 at Theater for the New City. This year will mark the 60th anniversary of the Japanese performance art form butoh.

'The Names' written by Seattle based playwright Paul Lewis will be presented by Actress, and producing artist Maylin Castro. The Names will be part of The Field Organization's (501C3), Annual Field Day Works in Progress, Presenting six early career artists of the Field and excerpts of current work.
