Just as Motown The Musical is taking Broadway by storm, Bridgeport's Downtown Cabaret Theatre is offeringForever Motown featuring a fabulous cast of four male and three female vocalists, backed by a band of incredible musicians, represents Motown Royalty when they take the stage of Bridgeport's Downtown Cabaret Theatre stage for two performances only at 5pm and 8pm on Saturday, June 15(2013).

Duke Fakir, the only surviving original member of the legendary Motown act, the Four Tops, and Mary Wilson, founding member of The Supremes, attended Smokey Robinson Presents Human Nature: The Motown Show on Thursday, May 30 at The Venetian Las Vegas.

'Motown' is Jesse's 2nd Bway show this season after a five-year hiatus he spent focused on his Broadway Boys concert group.

The original script, created by Shadowbox Head Writer, Jimmy Mak, is inspired by 'Alice In Wonderland', but instead tells the tale of Albert Ice (Robbie Nance), a Vietnam veteran who is searching for his lost daughter in the 60's hippie culture of San Francisco's Haight-Ashbury District. While it has the feel of Shadowbox's fabulous, 'Back to the Garden' in its opening scenes, this show immediately takes a much darker, mind-bending tone, and it's difficult to tell what is a drug-trip gone wrong, and what is Ice's completely warped post-traumatic stress-induced reality.
