Ravinia Festival Chairman Michael E. Lavin and President and CEO Welz Kauffman today announced details of the 2007 season of music theater and dance events.

Capathia Jenkins will play the Hollywood icon of the title in Emerging Artists' Theatre's premiere of (mis)Understanding Mammy: The Hattie McDaniel Story, written by Joan Ross Sorkin and directed by David Glenn Armstrong

The Ravinia Festival's 2007 summer season will include performances by such Broadway stars as Tony-winners Brian Stokes Mitchell, Lillias White and Heather Headley, as well as a staged concert production of The Most Happy Fella

An extra performance of The Middle East, In Pieces, featuring work by Anne Nelson, Heather Raffo and more, has been added on August 18th
