Main Street Theater (MST) continues its popular holiday tradition of the Pemberley plays with the latest in the series by Lauren Gunderson and Margot Melcon: Georgiana and Kitty: Christmas at Pemberley.

Main Street Theater will open its 47th Season with the regional premiere of Trouble in Mind by Alice Childress. The production opens Saturday night, September 17 at 7:30pm and runs through October 17.

Liz Duffy Adams' Dog Act is as much a depiction of the future as it is a nostalgia play about theatre people. The characters have no audience other than each other, and while they find joy in their own performance, the actors seem to feel the same love.

Main Street Theater (MST) is bringing back the post-apocalyptic vaudevillesque comedy Dog Act by Liz Duffy Adams. “What Liz [Duffy Adams] does with language is so much fun in terms of the way she re-makes it and so re-imagines the world,” says director Andrew Ruthven. “It’s unlike any play I’ve ever directed. The importance of language, the importance of story-telling, the importance of human connection in this post-apocalyptic world, combined with the genuine absurdity of the world she’s created – it’s just wild to explore.” MST first produced Dog Act in 2012.

Paul Hope is famed for bringing the Great American Songbook to Houston, previously by BAYOU CITY CONCERT MUSICALS. He is back in a new capacity to continue the popular cabaret series in Rice Village at the intimate Ovations Night Club.

Main Street has been offering the Pemberley plays - based on Jane Austen's Pride and Prejudice and written by acclaimed playwright Lauren Gunderson and Margot Melcon - for the last few seasons.

Mildred's Umbrella Theater Company is  continuing their digital 2020-2021 season with FINE WINE, a series of classic monologues written for ingenue actresses, but instead performed by actresses in their late 40's and older, for a new perspective. The performance will be available for viewing November 15- 25, 2020.

Performances will be Mondays at 7:30CST (1930).
