Award-winning Porchlight Music Theatre has announced a third performance, Saturday, April 25 at 2 p.m., of its Porchlight in Concert production of Follies. Learn more about the show here!

Porchlight Music Theatre has announced that Stephen Wallem will join the cast of its Porchlight in Concert production of FOLLIES this spring. The staged concert will take place over two performances at the Studebaker Theater and features Broadway veterans and Chicago favorites.

Chicago theatre veteran and TV favorite Stephen Wallem has joined the cast of the Porchlight in Concert production of Follies as “Buddy Plummer.” The cast also features Anthony Rapp and more.

Porchlight Music Theatre will stage a concert presentation of Stephen Sondheim and James Goldman’s Follies, featuring a cast led by Michelle Duffy, Alexander Gemignani, Angela Ingersoll, and Anthony Rapp.

The town of Gander, Newfoundland, is called the Rock. The current production at Paramount Theatre is the emotional but uplifting true story Come From Away by Irene Sankoff and David Hein.

Drury Lane Theatre has announced casting for its production of The Audience. Written by Peter Morgan, writer of the Emmy Award-winning “The Crown,” Drury Lane’s production is directed by Jessica Fisch and runs August 28 – October 20, 2024.

Drury Lane's hit summer show Steel Magnolias is playing through August 7. The production features Janet Ulrich Brooks (Ouiser), Amy J. Carle (M’Lynn), Lillian Castillo (Annelle), Cordelia Dewdney (Shelby), Elizabeth Ledo (Truvy), Susie McMonagle (Clairee). Get a first look at photos here!

What did our critic think of STEEL MAGNOLIAS at Drury Lane Theatre Oakbrook Terrace, IL? Walking into Drury Lane Theatre in Oakbrook Terrace, the set jumps out immediately. There is no curtain. I had to walk up to the lip of the stage to look at it. Angela Weber Miller's design is perfection. A can of Tab, the turquoise couch and many other touches evoking a different time.

Drury Lane Theatre announces the cast for its production of the empowering story of love and friendship, Steel Magnolias by Robert Harling, directed by Johanna McKenzie Miller. Due to demand, Steel Magnolias has been extended and now runs June 10 – August 7, 2022, at Drury Lane Theatre, 100 Drury Lane in Oakbrook Terrace. The press opening is scheduled for Thursday, June 16, 2022 at 8:00 p.m.

In a one-night-only opportunity to see Chicago's leading ladies of musical theatre on stage together, Season of Concern (SOC) presents 'Second City Divas-In Concert,' a benefit performance Monday, September 9 at 7:30 p.m. at Mercury Theater Chicago, 3745 N. Southport Avenue. Season of Concern is the Chicago theatre community's fundraising effort to provide financial assistance to those in the community impacted by illness, injury or circumstance.

Originally conceived by Judy Craymer, Mamma Mia! is directed by Artistic Director William Osetek and runs February 7 - April 14, 2019, at Drury Lane Theatre, 100 Drury Lane in Oakbrook Terrace.

Northlight Theatre will honor actor Harry Lennix with the 2017 Speak Up! Award at the Theatre's premier fundraising event, Staging the Future Together, on Saturday, November 4, 2017, at 6:00pm, at The Evanston Golf Club, 4401 Dempster, Skokie, IL. The Speak Up! Award recognizes individuals who speak up about important issues impacting our society. Recipients must also have a connection to Northlight Theatre and should exemplify leadership, advocacy, and a deep commitment to community.
