Regent's Park Open Air Theatre have today announced full casting for A Midsummer Night's Dream (28 June - 27 July). Directed by Dominic Hill, Artistic Director of Citizen's Theatre, Glasgow, the production features Amber James as Hippolyta/Titania, Kieran Hill (Theseus/Oberon), Susan Wokoma (Bottom) and Myra McFadyen (Puck).

From a collective of ex-prisoners, the company grew to be one of Britain's most progressive, life-changing, and groundbreaking organisations.

Over 40 years, Clean Break has commissioned some of the most progressive and brilliant women writers to write ground-breaking plays, alongside developing the writing skills of the women it works with in its London studios and in prisons. Lorraine Hansberry's groundbreaking play, the first on Broadway written by a Black woman, will visit the Belgrade Theatre from Tues 22 - Sat 26 March in a new production directed by Eclipse Theatre's Dawn Walton. This intense family drama, written on the cusp of the civil rights era, sees the Younger family await the arrival of a cheque for a life changing $10,000. Driven to conflict as they encounter issues of inequality, housing and lack of opportunity that continue to resonate today, the play acts as a stark warning to anyone who measures happiness and personal worth in capital gain.

Ground-breaking American play A Raisin in the Sun begins its UK tour in the Studio Theatre from Thursday 28 January to Saturday 13 February. 

Remaining performances in the initial run (November 6 - December 6) include November 17-21, 24-25, 27-28, and December 1-5 at 7:30pm; November 22 & 29 and December 6 at 7pm; and November 21-22, 28-29 and December 5-6 at 2pm. The extension performances will take place December 8-12 at 7:30pm, December 12 & 13 at 2pm, and December 13 at 7pm.
