 Fitz And The Tantrums and GRAMMY®-nominated artist Kesha will join the performance lineup at the 2019 MusiCares® Concert For Recovery on May 16. The concert will honor multi-GRAMMY® winner Macklemore and will be hosted by Joel McHale. The evening will also present a tribute to Mac Miller, and will close with a special performance by Macklemore. Additional performers will be announced shortly.

Lead singer for the world famous acapella group Klapa Cambi, Vlad Garic is about to make his American (and New York City) debut on Friday night March 15th in Queens at The Secret Theater. BWW caught up with Vlad during his rehearsal and got him to take a break from his preparations to chat with us. Vlad possesses one of the most naturally beautiful tenor voices in the world and his range is seemingly endless. One moment he is delivering stunning 10-part harmony klapa, the next moment he is tossing out a traditional Neapolitan song, next its a Verdi aria, finally cranking out some smoking hot Pearl Jam, that would make Eddy Vedder proud.

Macklemore To Be Honored At 2019 MusiCares Concert For Recovery

MusiCares®, an affiliated charity of the Recording Academy, announced today that the 2019 MusiCares Concert For Recovery will honor multi-GRAMMY® winnerMacklemore on Thursday, May 16 at The Novo at L.A. Live in Los Angeles. Macklemore will receive the Stevie Ray Vaughan Award in recognition of his significant dedication to and support of MusiCares and his commitment to helping others in the addiction recovery process. The Concert For Recovery will feature Joel McHale as the host. The evening will also present a tribute to Mac Miller, and will close with a special performance by Macklemore.Additional performers will be announced shortly.

Today, two-time GRAMMY-nominated blues-rock titan Joe Bonamassaannounces his new US Summer tour dates for 2019 in support of his all-original studio album Redemption (J&R Adventures) which was released last September.  The tour will stop at Bethel Woods Center for the Arts, the historic site of the 1969 Woodstock festival in Bethel, NY on July 30th  for a pavilion-only concert.

Rock & Roll Hall of Fame member and world-renowned Nashville-based keyboardist Reese Wynans releases his first-ever solo album Sweet Release today; a collection of songs honoring a paramount selection of blues-rock legends. The much anticipated album comes following a career that's spanned over 50 years and literally hundreds of historical collaborations. Sweet Release also serves as Joe Bonamassa's inaugural credit as a producer. Bonamassa has long been a fan of Wynans' work, urging him to create a solo album and championing the project as producer. Rock & Roll Hall of Fame member and world-renowned Nashville-based keyboardist Reese Wynans recently announced his first-ever solo albumSweet Release, a collection of songs honoring a paramount selection of blues-rock legends. The long anticipated album comes following a career that's spanned over 50 years and literally hundreds of historical collaborations. Along with the announcement came the first single 'Crossfire', a tribute to the legacy of Stevie Ray Vaughan and Wynans' work with Double Trouble, featuring the iconic Sam Moore of Sam & Dave on vocals. Today, Wynans shares the video for 'Crossfire' with behind-the-scenes footage from the studio recordings. 'Crossfire' is available now as a free song download on Reese and Joe's websites (reesewynans.com and jbonamassa.comrespectively).

A songwriter's songwriter, Pierce Pettis is back with his first new studio album in nearly a decade with FATHER'S SON, out January 18 on Compass Records. You can listen to the opening track,'Wouldn't Change It For the World,' HERE. Featuring 10 tracks, including a cover of Jesse Winchester's “A Showman's Life,” the Alabama songwriter writes about friends he's lost, childhood memories, and the relationships he's experienced both as a son and a father on these deeply moving, literate songs. FATHER'S SON, reuniting Pettis with producer Garry West, was recorded “live on the floor, with the band, with minimal overdubs, to capture the energy and authenticity of Pierce's performances.”
