Mint Theater Company Producing Artistic Director Jonathan Bank today announced the first cast member for the World Premiere pairing of Chekhov/Tolstoy: Love Stories, a program of short plays adapted from stories by two of the world's greatest authors, Anton Chekhov and Leo Tolstoy adapted for the stage by Miles Malleson (Conflict, Yours Unfaithfully).

Fellowship for Performing Arts announced today its productions for late 2019 and early 2020, marking the company's fifth full season in New York. The season will be headlined by a new work, PARADISE LOST by Tom Dulack and inspired by the classic John Milton epic poem. The season also features the return of FPA's C.S. LEWIS' THE GREAT DIVORCE. Primary Stages' production of the world premiere of On That Day in Amsterdam, written by Clarence Coo (Beautiful Province (Belle Province)-a?"Yale Drama Prize) and directed by Kareem Fahmy (3/Fifths) will begin previews on Friday, November 1. Opening night is set for Tuesday, November 19, for a run through Wednesday, December 18, 2019 at the Cherry Lane Theatre (38 Commerce Street). New York Classical Theatre will launch its 21st season with its Diversifying the Classics staged reading, presented by the New York City Council's Cultural Immigrant Initiative and Arts Brookfield.

The York Theatre Company (James Morgan, Producing Artistic Director; Evans Haile, Executive Director), dedicated to the development of new musicals and rediscovery of musical gems from the past, as part of its acclaimed Developmental Reading Series, in association with Executive Producer Jonathan Demar (Hadestown), will present a staged reading of the new musical _Come Find Me: A Christmas Musical_, with book and lyrics by Holly Reed and music by Holly Reed and Kelvin Reed. Casting Society Cares (the nonprofit charitable arm of the Casting Society of America) and Actors Pro Expo will be hosting a 'Meals 4 Monologues' event where actors will be able to perform for casting directors and donate to the Food Bank for New York.

Actors Pro Expo is back in NYC for its 6th year on October 26th at the Martinique New York on Broadway! It's the only event of its kind in the U.S. and this year it's going to be bigger than ever before!

The 24 Hour Plays announced the first round of participants that will come together to help honor Academy Award-winning actor Kathy Bates at the 19th Annual The 24 Hour Plays Broadway Gala. The event will be held at the Laura Pels Theatre at the Harold and Miriam Steinberg Center for Theatre in Times Square on Monday, November 18th.

Two River Theater (TRT) has launched its 2019/20 Season with a production that is sure to please. 'Cyrano' by Jason O'Connell and Brenda Withers is adapted from the 1897 play Cyrano de Bergerac written by Edmond Rostand. The TRT show is directed by Meredith McDonough and presented as a co-production with the critically acclaimed Hudson Valley Shakespeare Festival based in Garrison, New York.

The Initiative is a series of conversations and classes designed to effect concrete change in how actors in historically underrepresented communities are afforded access to job opportunities.

Voyage Theater Company is pleased to present the world premiere of THE HOPE HYPOTHESIS, a wickedly humorous take on the rabbit hole that is America's immigration system. Written and directed by Cat Miller, the play explores the current climate of suspicion and fear a?" and what it means to us as individuals and as a society. Tony Award winner and Emmy Award nominee Denis O'Hare will star in Eric Rosen's film NETUSER, about Peter Sardovski, an activist whose life unravels when a nightmare about political violence turns true. Drama Desk and Lucille Lortel Award nominee Claybourne Elder plays his husband who struggles to prevent Peter's compulsion from endangering their young son. Two time Tony Award nominee Johanna Day will play his sister-in-law, a NYPD detective who struggles to shield her brother's family from danger.  The film also features Tatiana Wechsler as Peter's editor Jenny. 

The NYC Off-Broadway premiere of Tech Support is currently on stage at 59E59 Theaters through September 21. Produced by Chatillion Stage Company, it is written and directed by Debra Whitfield. This clever and wonderfully performed romantic comedy offers a stark contrast between our modern age and times past.
