Meet Miss Baker will kick off tomorrow, Thursday evening, with The Price of Thomas Scott, directed by Mint Theater Artistic Director Jonathan Bank.

Rainy Day Productions will present industry readings of the new play Chasing the River by Jean Dobie Giebel. Directed by Illana Stein, the six-member cast will feature Tony Carlin, Aaron Costa Ganis, Annie Golden, Deborah Rayne, Chet Siegel, and Wendy Rich Stetson. Executive Producers Pam Carter and The Cliplight Theater, in conjunction with Amanda Cooper/ALC Management, are pleased to announce the world premiere of Maverick, co-authored by Frank Beacham and George Demas. A dramatization of co-author Beacham's real-life experience collaborating with Orson Welles in the months leading up to his death, Maverick begins previews at The Connelly Theater (220 E. 4th St., between Ave. A & Ave. B) on February 6, with opening night set for February 13 for a limited run through March 2. DANIEL'S HUSBAND, the acclaimed new play by Michael McKeever, directed by Joe Brancato, will end its commercial Off-Broadway run at the Westside Theatre (407 West 43 St.) on Sunday, December 30, 2018 at 7pm. It will have played 13 previews and 73 performances.

Cherry Lane Theatre is proud to announce dates for its upcoming Off-Broadway presentation of Matt Williams' ACTUALLY, WE'RE F**KED, directed by John Pasquin. Mint announced "Meet Miss Baker," Mint's latest effort in its ongoing commitment to create new life for neglected women playwrights. From Pulitzer-Prize winning plays by Zona Gale and Susan Glaspell, to forgotten works by Rachel Crothers, Cicely Hamilton, Githa Sowerby, Hazel Ellis, Maurine Dallas Watkins, Lillian Hellman, Rose Franken and Dawn Powell, Mint has long been a champion of neglected plays by women. Up next is English playwright Elizabeth Baker, who will receive three productions, each getting their American premiere, over the next two years.

La Femme Theatre Productions will host a talk-back entitled Williams's Women following the performance of Tennessee William's A Lovely Sunday for Creve Coeur, directed by Austin Pendleton on Thursday, October 18, 2018.  The talk-back panel will include Charlotte Moore, who played Helena in the original production of this play and will be joins by the current cast of Kristine Neilson, Annette O'Toole, Jean Lichty, Polly McKie and director Austin Pendleton.

Cincinnati Playhouse in the Park will celebrate the local voices, stories and talents that cemented Cincinnati in music history in CINCINNATI KING, a new world premiere musical that begins Nov. 3 (Opening night is Nov. 8.) It runs through Dec. 23 and is staged with support from The Rosenthal Family Foundation, Season Sponsor of New Work.

Quill and Quaver Associates P/L will present industry readings of The Stranger From Seville - A New Musical, based on The Mapmaker's Opera by Bea Gonzalez, with music by Kevin Purcell and book & lyrics by Victor Kazan.  Directed by Martin Platt, with music direction by Matt Castle and orchestrations by Mark Buys, the readings will be held on Today, September 25.  

La Femme Theatre Productions presents the revival of Tennessee William's A Lovely Sunday for Creve Coeur, directed by Austin Pendleton. After staging a string of successful co-productions with top Off-Broadway theater companies, La Femme is thrilled to debut its first solo production. Performances begin on September 14 and run through October 21, 2018, with opening night on September 23 at Theatre at the St. Clement's

The Casting Society of America (CSA) announced today the list of nominees for Outstanding Achievement in Casting in the television, theatre, short form series and short film categories. Nominees will be recognized at the 34th Annual ArtiosAwards, taking place on January 31, 2019, at the Beverly Hilton Hotel in Los Angeles & Stage 48 in New York City.

Performances will begin this Today, August 2nd, and continue through September 30th at Theatre Row (410 West 42nd Street). Opening Night is set for August 26th.
