Project Y Theatre Company commissioned 5 female playwrights to write 'Hybrid 2-Handers' as the centerpiece of this year's hybrid Women in Theatre Festival, a festival of new work written and created by women, originally conceived to be written for and performed to an in-person and streaming audience simultaneously.

The second annual Write It Out! program for writers living with HIV will stream performances of students' work during a final sharing on Wednesday, December 1 at 7pm ET.

History Matters: Celebrating Women's Plays of the Past announces streaming dates for the virtual readings of their 2020 and 2021 Judith Barlow Prize-winning plays. After delays due to the pandemic, History Matters will present pre-recorded Zoom readings of the winning plays in collaboration with Nora's Playhouse.

A mixture of Zoom live action, audience interaction and an old school video game, Darrel Alejandro Holnes' Black Feminist Video Game is overfilled with levels.  There's light comedy, melodrama, politics, silliness, boldly underscored learnings and, yes, a two dimensional video game to conquer.  'True men are feminists' is the mantra that concludes this journey.

Exquisite Corpse Company will present the World Premiere of Zoetrope, written by ECC writers-in-residence Elinor T Vanderburg, Leah Barker, and Emily Krause, directed by Porcia Lewis and Tess Howsam. The production will be presented LIVE with socially distanced seating for a limited audience at 134 Vanderbilt Ave Brooklyn, NY 11205, May 1-23.

The Civilians will present the digital premiere of Black Feminist Video Game by Darrel Alejandro Holnes. Black Feminist Video Game follows close on the heels of The Civilians’ smash hit Russian Troll Farm, which was heralded by The New York Times as one of the best shows of 2020.

After welcoming their first Guest Artist in last month's Season 3 debut, the company is excited to welcome TWO Guest Artists for 'Sharing Space.' Starr Kirkland will play Astronaut Starr, and Priscilla Villanueva will stage manage the production. They'll be joined by the show's writer Jessica Giannone as Astronaut Mae and founding artist Mackenzie Sherburne as Astronaut Sally Sloth.

The New York-based theater company, Theater in Asylum (TIA) in partnership with Laguardia Performing Arts Center (LPAC)'s Rough Draft Festival, will present three performances of Willie Johnson's Hephaestus at LPAC's Mainstage Theater Black Box in Long Island City.

Lady Shakes Theatre Company is back with the second show in their exciting inaugural season! Due to popular demand Normal Ave and Leigh Honigman will extend performances for their World Premiere of Of the Woman Came the Beginning of Sin and Through Her We All Die, written by Lily Houghton and directed by Kylie M. Brown at Normal Ave's Medicine Show Theatre (549 W 52nd St, 3rd Floor, New York, NY 10019). Additional performances will be on Thursday, October 24 at 8pm, Friday, October 25 at 8pm, and Saturday, October 26 at 8pm. Previously announced performances will be on Thursday, October 17 at 8pm, Friday, October 18 at 8pm, Saturday, October 19 at 8pm, and Sunday, October 20 at 3pm. Tickets ($20-$30) are available for advance purchase at www.normalave.org/ofthewoman. The performance runs approximately 90 minutes, with no intermission.
