Riverside Theatre for Kids presents the hit Broadway musical, Disney's Newsies The Musical, with performances June 30 & July 1, 2023 on the Stark Stage.  

On Saturday, June 10 from 5-7 p.m., Resorts World New York City will present an artist talk featuring Danny Simmons, the founder and VP of the Rush Philanthropic Arts Foundation, and more.

Signature Theatre announces that Signature favorites Awa Sal Secka (Gun and Powder, Blackbeard) and Shayla S. Simmons (After Midnight, Dreamgirls) will perform in Soul Divas Reprise, inspired by the sold-out cabaret from 2019 dedicated to the music of acclaimed musical divas from Aretha to Whitney to Tina. The cabaret will be music directed by Mark G. Meadows, Signature's Director of Cabarets. Soul Divas Reprise runs June 27 – July 9 in Signature's ARK Theatre.

This summer, dive into Bikini Bottom as Kokandy Productions kicks off its 2023 season with Nickelodeon's The SpongeBob Musical, directed by JD Caudill, playing June 22 – September 3, 2023 at The Chopin Studio Theatre, 1543 W. Division St. in Chicago's Wicker Park neighborhood.

The news comes on the heels of the multi-platinum selling Seattle rock band gearing up to launch their final tour this weekend. Candlebox – Kevin Martin (lead vocals), Adam Kury (bass), Brian Quinn (guitar), Island Styles (guitar), BJ Kerwin (drums) – will be out on the road from June 10th through early fall crossing the country.

​​​​​​​VocalEssence, one of the world's premier choral music organizations, is gearing up for its 'speed limit' season-55 years of making music and celebrating the joy of singing together. In honor of this auspicious occasion the new season will feature collaborations with the St. Olaf Choir, the Bach Society of Minnesota, and Northrop, as well as exciting commissions by vocal activist Melanie DeMore, Latvian composer Ēriks Ešenvalds, and Minnesotans Jocelyn Hagen and Kyle Pederson.

Jillian Armstrong from Milford High School and Mark Bonney from Detroit School of Arts were named Outstanding Performers in a Leading Role at the 11th annual Sutton Foster Awards at Detroit's Fisher Theatre on Sunday, May 21. The award, named in honor of Michigan's own Broadway star, Sutton Foster, is a celebration of outstanding achievement in individual artistry, vocal, dance, and acting performance for two leads in a high school musical theatre production. Jillian and Mark and were two of the 116 high school drama students from across Michigan to compete for th­e award.

Lofton) at odds, the Flynn organization weakened, and a new connect on the scene, Tommy is more determined than ever to take over the Chicago drug world. 

d4vd prepares to embark on a run of summer tour dates in celebration of the upcoming project. His debut run of headline shows earlier this year as part of “The Root Of It All” tour sold out immediately. These new summer dates will revisit major cities including New York and Los Angeles and his hometown Houston, expanding to larger venues.

The Fisher Center at Bard has added a seventh performance (June 29 at 7:30 pm) to its world premiere production of Illinois, a music-theater work based on Sufjan Stevens’ acclaimed album of the same name.
