High School Musical Theatre Students Take Stage At 2019 Shuler Awards

It's the biggest night of the year for Georgia high school musical theatre students nominated for the 2019 Shuler Hensley Awards. The awards event-named for the Atlanta-born Tony Award winner who is emcee of the evening's Broadway-style production-includes winners recognized as the best of the state's high school musical theatre students and schools during 2018-19.

When director Sam Mendes' beautifully realized production of Jez Butterworth's Olivier-winning drama The Ferryman opened on Broadway last October, leading man Paddy Considine and several other members of the excellent ensemble cast had been with the play since its April 2017 Royal Court premiere, with additional members having joined the company during its transfer stint at the Gielgud.

Tim Realbuto, the New York stage actor who recently wrapped principal photography playing the lead role of Patrick Nolan in YES, his first major motion picture, will conceive, co-direct and produce a revival of Neil Simon's Tony and Pulitzer Prize Award winning play LOST IN YONKERS on Sunday, December 9th at 7:30 pm.
ArtsBridge And GA Lottery Announce Winners Of HOPE Jingle Contest

ArtsBridge and the Georgia Lottery teamed up for the HOPE Jingle Contest. To enter, accredited Georgia High School Musical Theatre and Dramatic Arts Programs were invited to perform a creative version of the "HOPE Jingle" and submit a video of themselves performing it in their own unique way. Ten semi-finalists were selected by a panel of judges. Then the public cast more than 66,000 votes to help choose five winners who will be awarded additional funds for their theatre departments by the Georgia Lottery. Here are the five winners of the HOPE Jingle Contest.
