Sarah Siddons Society Names Tracy Letts Actor of the Year

Tracy Letts, award winning actor, playwriter and screenwriter will accept the 2019 'Actor of the Year' Award in New York this coming April. Among his many accomplishments in theatre and film, Tracy Letts received the 2008 Pulitzer Prize for Drama for his play August Osage County and a Tony for his portrayal of George in the revival of Who's Afraid of Virginia Woolf on Broadway. As an active member of Steppenwolf Theatre Company, Letts has left an indelible mark on the global theatre community.

Comedian Ron White Returns To The Weidner With New Stand-up Show

Natalie Dormer Joins Showtime Series PENNY DREADFUL: CITY OF ANGELS

SHOWTIME has announced that Natalie Dormer (Game of Thrones) will join PENNY DREADFUL: CITY OF ANGELS, the next chapter of the PENNY DREADFUL saga, in the role of Magda, a supernatural demon who can take the appearance of anyone she chooses and manifests in a number of guises throughout the story. Charismatic, clever and chameleonic, Magda is a dangerous enemy and an invaluable ally. Tony® and Golden Globe®  award winner and three-time Oscar® nominee John Logan, creator, writer and executive producer of the Emmy nominated series PENNY DREADFUL, will continue in those same roles. Michael Aguilar (KIDDING) will also serve as executive producer. Production on the drama series is expected to begin later this year.

Otto Bathurst to Direct and Executive Produce Showtime's HALO

Otto Bathurst (Black Mirror, Robin Hood) is set to direct the highly anticipated SHOWTIME series HALO, based on the hallowed Xbox® franchise with Kyle Killen (Awake) serving as executive producer, writer and showrunner. Bathurst will helm multiple episodes and executive produce the live-action series, which has an initial nine-episode order. Produced by SHOWTIME in partnership with 343 Industries, along with Steven Spielberg's Amblin Television, HALO will begin production later this year.

Saturday Night Live Star, Jay Pharoah, Announces Debut Australian Shows In Sydney And Melbourne This May

Frontier Comedy is thrilled to announce the debut Australian tour for Saturday Night Livealumni, stand-up comedian, actor, rapper and impressionist Jay Pharoah. Pharoah will perform two shows at Sydney's Factory Theatre on Thursday 16 and Friday 17 May  as part of the Sydney Comedy Festival, followed by two shows at Melbourne's only dedicated comedy venue The Comic's Lounge on Saturday 18 and Sunday 19 May.
