Stage 773 Executive Director Jill Valentine and co-producer Liz McArthur are thrilled to announce the highly anticipated lineup for the 7th Annual Chicago Women's Funny Festival, taking place August 23 through August 26 at the comedy hub of Chicago, Stage 773, 1225 W. Belmont. The Chicago Women's Funny Festival, the largest of its kind in the nation, features a melting pot of comedic genres, including everything from 'highbrow musical improv' to 'relatable stand-up' to 'character driven sketch'. Blending long term veterans with fresh newcomers, the fest packs over 70 shows into four funny-filled days. Stage 773 has made it easier than ever to discover new groups to love, allowing patrons to filter through art forms, a rating and keywords to find their own taste in comedy. Canadian Comedy Award-winning Rapp Battlez makes its OFF-JFL premiere at the Katacombes on Tuesday, July 24 at 11:59 p.m., and then joins Just For Laughs outdoor programming with two performances on the Loto-Quebec Stage on Wednesday, July 25 at 10 p.m. and Friday, July 27 at 8:30 p.m. Co-hosted and co-created by brothers Miguel Rivas (The Beaverton) and Freddie Rivas (Confederacy of Dunks), the wildly popular sketch comedy smackdown gives some of Canada's most talented sketch comedians a platform to square off against each other for comedic, tete-a-tete rap battle supremacy.

VIVIAN REED, the two-time Tony Award-nominated Broadway star and concert artist called "remarkable and ferocious" by The New York Times and "a force of nature" by The New York Post, will continues her tribute to entertainment icon Lena Horne in a special centennial celebration at Feinstein's / 54 Below. For one more show on Wednesday, March 7, Reed will offer high-energy, fearless renditions of Lena classics such as "Stormy Weather," "The Lady is a Tramp," "A Fine Romance," "I've Grown Accustomed to His Face" and "On A Wonderful Day Like Today." She is accompanied by an all-star quartet featuring Conductor William Foster McDaniel on piano, Calvin Jones on bass, Damon DueWhite on drums and Don Tipton on guitar. Earlier this season, Vivian received the Mabel Mercer Award from the Mabel Mercer Foundation at Jazz at Lincoln Center.
