Music Theater Works’s production of the Tony-Award winning La Cage Aux Folles, music and lyrics by Jerry Herman, book by Harvey Fierstein, directed by Producing Artistic Director Kyle Dougan and music directed by Kyra Leigh with choreography by Christopher Chase Carter is now playing through April 3.

Artistic Director Tony Prince and Producing Director Richard McGrew have announced the opening of “How to Transcend a Happy Marriage” by Sarah Ruhl on March 24.

Music Theater Works is proud to announce the cast for its spring production of the Tony-Award winning La Cage Aux Folles, music and lyrics by Jerry Herman, book by Harvey Fierstein, directed by Producing Artistic Director Kyle Dougan and music directed by Kyra Leigh with choreography by Christopher Chase Carter. 

Julie Szewc and Dave Huebner met in the Bighorn Mountains of Wyoming with one central thing in common: a love of all kinds of music and a thirst for making it. Along with Fernando Serna (drums/percussion) and Taylor Phillips (bass), they have knit their passions into the musical family that is The Two Tracks. From their home in the postcard town of Sheridan, the band stirs western roots and wilderness philosophy into a stew of nourishing connection.

The WYO welcomes 'Live from Laurel Canyon - Songs and Stories of American Folk Rock' to the stage Tuesday February 15 at 7:30pm.  “Live from Laurel Canyon” is a 90-minute retrospective of music and stories of some of the most influential artists who lived in Laurel Canyon between 1965 and 1975.

Chicago Shakespeare Theater is once again the ultimate destination for the holiday season. The 80-minute hip hop holiday hit Q Brothers Christmas Carol, created by Chicago sensations the Q Brothers Collective (GQ, JQ, Jax, and Pos) and developed with Creative Producer Rick Boynton, is back in a limited engagement in The Yard at Chicago Shakespeare, December 7-23, 2021.

The first ever Tony Award winner for Best Musical, based on the book by Sam and Bella Spewack with music and lyrics by Cole Porter, is to be directed by Johanna McKenzie Miller. In a twist of fate, Miller will make her mainstage directorial debut at the Marriott Theatre roughly 20 years after making her acting debut under the very same spotlight. Musical direction for this production is led by Jeff Award winner Ryan T. Nelson with choreography by Jeff Award nominee Alex Sanchez.  

Proceeds from the auction will go to support the WYO Performing Arts and Education Center and the 2021-2022 Season.

Nominated for ten Tony Awards, this comedic romp is filled with unforgettable music and non-stop laughs. From November 24th - December 19th, A Gentleman's Guide to Love and Murder is on stage in Blackburn Hall at The Naples Players. The show follows Monty Navarro (Luke Jaconis) who finds out he is ninth in line to inherit an earldom and a large family fortune. He decides he must eliminate the other eight heirs standing in his way...

Artistic Director Tony Prince and Producing Director Richard McGrew have announced the opening of The Liminal Playhouse's latest show – “The Houseguests” by Harry Kondoleon. Originally scheduled for late spring of 2020, “The Houseguests” is finally coming to the stage with the original cast and designers.

The WYO Performing Arts & Education Center will present the stage production of Disney's Newsies Wednesday October 20 - Saturday October 23 at 7:30pm and Sunday October 24 at 2pm. The community performance will take place over the course of five consecutive days without the opening Gala fundraising event the Saturday prior.

The SW Florida premier of 'Torch Song' by Harvey Fierstein, based on the 1983 Award winning Broadway show Torch Song Trilogy is directed by Scott Lilly.

ACT Louisville Productions producers Beth Craig Hall (Actors Center for Training and Dancers Center for Training) and Randy Blevins have announced the complete cast and creative team for their musical production The Wizard of Oz at The Iroquois Amphitheater July 30-August 2.

The Laboratory Theater of Florida's production of BOTTICELLI IN THE FIRE, directed by Annette Trossbach, is, as Botticelli says at the beginning of the play, an extravaganza. Written by Jordan Tannahill, this show re-imagines the process of creating Botticelli's infamous painting, The Birth of Venus. 

Spike Lee's Civil Rights Film, 'Son of the South' is now in Select Theaters and VOD, (Apple TV, Google Play and Amazon Prime).

The late, two-time Tony Award-winning actor Brian Dennehy, who died last year at age 81,  can be seen giving his final performance when the new film SON OF THE SOUTH is released Friday, February 5th by Vertical Entertainment, it has been announced by the film's producer Eve Pomerance.

Christy Love, Scott Davis and Mary Ludemann have been selected as the recipients of the WYO Performing Arts and Education Center's 2020 Lotus Awards and will be honored at a private reception Sept. 24.
