When Shakespeare penned, “Oh, what fools these mortals be,” he couldn’t ever have imagined the deliberately, delightfully foolish behavior his words would incite more than four centuries later in ‘The Complete Works of William Shakespeare (abridged) [revised] [again],’ now at Contemporary Theater Company.

​​​​​​​This May, The Contemporary Theater Company (CTC) is celebrating 20 years of laughter, community, and exciting shows with the return of one of its most beloved productions: The Complete Works of William Shakespeare (Abridged) [revised] [again].

The actors are typically switched up each Saturday throughout the 12-week run.  This particular performance featured seven hysterical actors including Cathleen Carr, making her second Whodunit performance; Madeline England making her third performance as well as newbie Whodunits Jan Krause Green, Jessamyn LeClair, Tina Moore, Edwin O'Connor and Ryan Sekac.

The show will run at the Contemporary Theater Company from December 5 through December 22. Tickets are available now, and audiences are encouraged to secure tickets early because these performances are sure to sell out.

What did our critic think of 24-HOUR PLAY FESTIVAL at Contemporary Theater? It's been 18 years that Contemporary Theater Company has been putting on this 24-hour play festival, an amazing concoction of stories and actors and action that just can't be compared to anything else because, frankly, there is nothing else like it.

The Contemporary Theater Company is known for its focus on the community and local talent. This April and May their annual Springboard Season, which is comprised of one or two night events by community and ensemble members, returns. Shows are Fridays and Saturdays at 7 pm.

The Contemporary Theater Company has crafted a compelling outdoor production that is visually stunning, packed with beautiful musical motifs, and full of powerful performances.

The CTC delivers a perfect union of story and space in this finely polished 90-minutes of intersecting vignettes about an ill-fated park and the people who meet there.
