Near the end of IN LOVE Mr. Jones sings a mash-up of Lerner & Lowe’s I'VE GROWN ACCUSTOMED TO HER FACE & GIGI, dedicated to his eight-year-old daughter that elicited sniffles as well as awwwwws from the crowd.

Not even one year into his solo show career, Ben Jones presents two different cabaret musicals back-to-back in a Chelsea Table + Stage debut.

This is not a “Best Of” list because it isn’t for me to say what is best, only what resonated with me, but after a lot, a lot, a lot of shows, this New Year's Eve, these shows are still on my mind.

Chelsea Table + Stage presents Ben Jones in I Think I'm in Love at 7 PM on January 5, 2023 and I Think We Should See Other People at 7 PM on January 6, 2023.

Her show was titled “Let’s Fall In Love” but the audience that filled every seat in the Arts Garage last night was already in love with the incomparable Ann Hampton Callaway before she walked out on stage.

Cabaret artist, singing actress Lianne Marie Dobbs hit the 54 Below stage this week with her special show titled Why CAN'T A Woman...? and Broadway World Cabaret photographer Helane Blumfield caught the action in a gorgeous photo shoot.

The gala honored musical theater legend Leslie Uggams  with the 2022 Oscar Hammerstein Award for Outstanding Achievement in Musical Theater, which will be presented by Dionne Warwick. Ted Chapin was also honored with The York Theatre Company Founders' Award, presented by his daughters Anika and Zoë Chapin. Lianne Marie Dobbs returns to the nightclub stage with her acclaimed show for the first time since pre-pandemic, and she has some wise words to go with her great music.

Performer Lianne Marie Dobbs' evening of feminism and music, Why CAN'T A Woman...?, plays at 54 Below on Wednesday, November 16th at 7 PM. Music director is Ron Abel, with additional guest musicians Kendra Jo Brook, Amanda Morrill, Luke Darnell and guest vocals and choreography by Luis Villabon.

Ben Jones will return to Blue Strawberry in St. Louis, MO on Saturday, November 19th with a funny, moving and deeply personal evening of classic standards, soaring showstoppers and modern hits, punctuated with raucous, side-splitting and devastatingly honest stories from his own love life.
